Physically, Dimitri hasn’t lost a lot in his life. If something is gone, he can replace it. However, emotionally, he struggles a lot more with. He hasn’t exactly lost this, but he never received proper parental love from both, or even one parent once he started to get serious with school. His mother and father separated in his early teens, and although his father is still fond of him (his mother is a different story), it didn’t feel real anymore. It all felt like work since he planned to take over his father’s position as a chairman of the government.

Delirious is interesting because Lei doesn’t drink so much or indulge drug wise, but he’s always craved the edge of an adrenaline high. When his heart is thumping in his ears and his muscles burn their energy off in sheets that roll off his skin, hes absolutely delirious with the feeling of tangibility. He can feel air pressing against the body- his body- that struggles ceaselessly against the forces of physics, gravity and friction and energy. When he drives headlong against their limits, tempting the drooling jaws of fate, he feels truly a part of the world, and truly alive.
