A fic rec starter kit for the pairing Peter Parker/ Flash Thompson. I love this pairing and the fics here are just fantastic. They’re really brilliant, all beautifully written, all complete, and all so, so good. A companion fic rec starter kit to my 00Q, Johnlock, Merthur, Jercy, Percico+Jaisco, and FrostIron ones. Written because I adore this pairing so much and it would have been so much easier if someone had just compiled a starter kit of all the lovely Spiderflash fics in one place for those just dipping their toe into the fandom or for those who just want to find some possibly new, worth reading spiderflash fics. Just a note.  Any Flash or Peter player who ships Spiderflash, I won’t follow or play with.  I have huge issues with ships where consent isn’t possible, and where the power balance isn’t even. This ship isn’t the only one on my NOSHIP list but it’s the one most relevant to this blog.  As a rule of thumb, if you got a ship where one of the parties has been bullied, abused, assaulted by the other party? Keep that away from me.

Now of course, anyone who ships SpiderFlash will almost always be welcome at askspiderflash. Even though, with all due respect - I disagree with the OP's view towards the pairing- (considering consent is not an issue & neither is an imbalance of power) -their post brought something to my attention.

So, to anybody who writes SpiderFlash fan fiction, please read on==>

Just a friendly reminder to the fellow SpiderFlashers out here- keep in mind that Eugene had an abusive, alcoholic father- remember this & the prior bullying towards Peter when writing any fan fiction. Flash’s character shouldn’t be pulling Peter into an abusive, controlling or extreme dom/sub type relationship- if that’s part of your story line please don’t submit. No ship / fandom ect. should glorify an abusive relationship or encourage any abusive behavior especially when such behavior has been canonically (& quite abruptly) stopped.  Given their history & their last encounter, I would hope that any stories would focus more on mending the relationship (either in a romantic or non-romantic sense).

I have never animated anything this complicated ever! I wanted Flash to look bigger but apparently that didn’t happen. XD

I love Peter Parker, I love Flash Thompson and I love SpiderFlash or whatever this is called (what is it called?). Though it’s sad it doesn’t seem very popular.

Anyway, be prepared! I’m gonna go draw more of this pairing!
