The Divide has an askblog, and it's slightly more bizarre than the actual story (see above). Feel free to ask any characters from the story questions and just enjoy the insanity!
Hey, I read somewhere in this blog that you're working on a re-make for The Divide with original characters...I don't know if you've made progress on that or not, but I was wondering where I'd find it when it's ready? Will you be posted it chapter-by-chapter like your fanfictions, or no? I'm very eager to read more! Thanks!
I don’t know when this is from omg I’m sorry;; I found a whole bunch of messages I never got to today! I’ll be posting the first draft on AO3 likely. I’ll link it once it’s up! I’ve written a bare bones prequel to it that I’m fleshing out right now, and I’ll probably begin posting then!
Hello! It's been a long time since The Divide has had an update, and I understand that life gets in the way, but I just wanted to know if you are planning to continue it in the future. I can wait for this fic forever, if I have to. Have a good day. Thanks for the fic, it's great.
Hello! I’m happy to see people still remember that story~ I’m actually turning it into an original story, which is why updates have stopped on it. I’m 2/3 of the way through a prequel for the new version and am plotting the main story in my free time. I also posted character concepts on my @anjellesblog account a while back! Sadly, this does mean that the fanfiction version has been dropped. I just couldn’t work on it anymore. There were too many plot holes, too much bad writing and not enough happening for me to consider it worth finishing. I’m taking it slow with the remake, making sure everything is plotted out carefully and makes sense, so I’m determined not to let that happen again. Thanks for asking hun <3
Summary: Leading a double life is never easy. With friends in the slums and a family of nobility, Luffy hides his lineage to keep up the guise that he’s a resident of Low Town, hoping to one day find a boy from his past and repay him for what he did all those years ago. But Whitebeard, the largest underground power around, is searching for him. And Sabo, his brother, wants to know why.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS LOVIES! This is my gift to you - a rather long special for a rather long story. I’ll be doing a few more updates between now and New Years so I hope you enjoy~
Summary: eading a double life is never easy.
Sabo sighed, peeking in through the hallway at the droopy dragon seated on the bed, his wingtips resting amidst the sheets, ears turned downward as he stared absently at his hands. The blond rolled his eyes, having seen that posture one too many times in the past to not know what was going through his mate’s mind.
He had never been a very sentimental man, nor empathetic. He wasn’t good at bringing others comfort or lifting their moods--that was always Luffy’s specialty, and that little brat certainly did a good job of it. No, Sabo was a little more… awkward when it came to this.
Rubbing his forehead and frowning at the dragon’s back, he tightened his grip on the object in his hand, eyes scrolling down to the small, wrapped bouquet of tulips and lilies, lips pressed taut in a thin line.
With one last sigh he straightened his back, striding into the room and stopping in front of the wizard, frowning down at him. After a moment grey eyes lifted from his feet to his face, catching momentarily on the flowers, to stare quizzically up at him.
Sabo huffed, hands on his hips, brows furrowed, and shoved the bouquet in his face. “Stop moping, stupid gecko.”
Sabo thwacked him upside the head with a roll of his eyes. “Would you kindly stop that, dear?”
“Must I?”
“Yes. You’re making it appear that you’re the impatient one and not myself.”
Ignoring the soft snort he heard from the doctor, Sabo rummaged through his things, slipping his arms through his tailcoat and straightening it in the mirror, eyeing himself before nodding in approval. Yes, yes, this would do... Not that Tulip cared what he wore, really, but he cared and that was far more important.
“You’re going to him, then?” Law finally asked, leaning back against the wall as he watched.
The blond didn’t bother to give him a second glance, grabbing his cravat from the drawer and wrapping it around his neck beneath his collar. “I am. I’ve wasted enough time with you and now I’m late, and the lizard is probably sulking. What do you have to say for yourself?”
“I’m not sorry.”
He rolled his eyes. Typical. But as he took both ends of the cloth in his hands he stopped, his eyes lingering over the malformed, discoloured skin of his neck. A smile crossed his lips and he finished tying the cravat, spinning on his heel to face the surgeon--and the dull glare he was being given. He raised an eyebrow. “Jealous?”
“Hardly.”
Closing the distance between them, he ruffled Law’s hair, earning a bitter snort. “Oh come now. You’re my precious little psychopath, are you not? I’ll come visit again.”
The doctor was silent a moment, staring at the ground between their feet before lifting his eyes once more to meet the noble’s. “What’s the difference between him and myself?”
Sabo grinned, his hand dropping to his side as he moved away to grab his things and head for the door. “Well for one, he didn’t stab me in the heat of the moment.”
((Just like the little event we had last year, send me some birthday asks for Sabo to be answered on March 20th! I'll answer each and every one I get, and if I don't get any, well I guess I'll just have to answer some of the ones still in my inbox won't I? XD))
Ace: The blond bastard's always pulling shit like that... but as much as it annoys me, I'm not really all that bothered by it. Him 'n Lu have been together... well, a long time, right? Most their lives. So a'course they're gonna be close. And I'm actually really thankful for that, for Lu having someone by him all this time, and... grateful to Sabo, for being there for my little brother.
Ace: ...
Ace: But the fucker better stop doing that 'less he wants a scar on that smug face of his.
((So I started this blog around 10 months ago and... can we all be thankful that there's been some improvement in my art since then? I mean look at that stuff. That is scary.))
Ace: I used to spend a lot of time out in the sun, y'know? When I was little. So I've got freckles everywhere 'cause of it. Now I'm always out at night, though... heh. Funny how that works.
