//Well, well, well...what do we have here? I heard this lovely little RP community was making a bit of a comeback with the new season of the show, and it is so very delightful to see that so many familiar faces have come back as well!

//Anyway, for those of you new here and new to ME, I'm Rachel. You all can call me Rach. I started this blog over 10 years ago, if my estimation is correct, and I have seen many people come and go. Even I was gone for a long time.

//This is of course, a Lestat RP Blog. I'd dare say it's an indie one. My portrayal is an amalgamation of the book, original film (not Queen of the Damned), and my own personal headcanons about Lestat as a character. There may be some influence from the new show, as it really firmed up Lestat as a character, in my mind. AND confirmed many of my own personal thoughts about him in general.

"I hadn't decided anything specific yet, though I'd prefer them to include you."

"No but I found myself strangely bored this evening. When I need entertainment, who else can I turn to?"

One could never admit the need for Lestat, of course, that would be weak but there were ways to express desire and want that skirted the line. Louis always preferred those.

"I haven't been out for a while." He was pretty sure. He wasn't entirely sure what month it was or what day of the week but he did know he had been inside for too long.

"Delighted to hear that you still find me entertaining after all these years, Louis." Whether it be playful barbs, arguments, or something else, they did speak each other's language. For the most part, anyway.

"Yes, I don't think I've seen you leave the house for many nights," he added with a nod, clearly thinking where they might go. "It's been a quite some time since we snuck into a museum after hours. Unless we find one that is open late…? Did you finish that book, and if so, do you need or would you like a new one?"

"The museum sounds good. I hear they have a new exhibit. Or do they still have it? I didn't check the date on the paper." He had lost his sense of time but he hardly needed one. "I finished it yesterday. I was considering rereading some but I couldn't find the drive in me. Perhaps you can bring me something new. Surprise me."

Sometimes it was fun. The randomness of the book did take him out of his comfort zone, even if he sometimes disagreed with Lestat's recommendations. "Do you have any idea where my clean clothes are?" He could only seem to find his used old socks lying around.

“Well…why don’t we just do both? If the museum exhibit you wanted to see turns out to be closed, we can just head right on over to that bookshop we like,” he said with a smile. Lestat was always terribly amused when Louis asked for him to pick a book for him. It was rare their reading interests were the same. More often than not, their taste in books was wildly different. Thus, when he asked Lestat to surprise him, sometimes the choices he brought were not always something Louis would typically read. “Oh, I do think I can find something you’ve never read before. I welcome the challenge.”

Lestat just watched him fondly as Louis looked about for clean clothing. At the question, he laughed a little, taking ahold of Louis’ hand and leading him through the house to their laundry room, where much of Louis’ clothes were hanging on a rack. “Who do you think does your laundry? I had to send some to the dry cleaners, but we could actually pick those up on our way home tonight.” Bless the invention of 24 Hour Dry Cleaners. Were most of them a front for criminal activity? Quite possibly, but they were terribly convenient, especially for their kind.
