The Dammed’s new album is pretty interesting. It has a mix of a lot of their styles.
*Gunther stares at the dolls for a split minute before hissing and bapping one* "I don't trust these things..." *he continues bapping at the dolls,* "... Say, you don't happen to know where there might be treats, though, hm? Secret compartments with goodness I can reach into? I swear I won't say a thing to Alucard if you tell me where he puts all the delicious food. He won't be back for a while~"
A sharp spoon whack across Gunther’s hand from the doll with a blue robe.
“Oh silly Gunther, Alucard doesn’t keep food in us” the dolls spoke in unison. Their voice like a chorus of schoolchildren with malicious undertones “ the dolls said quickly as they turned to Gunther and began to hover a few feet off the ground. They turned and floated to the doorway without a sound. The doll with dark hair turned back and waved with its spoon arm.”
“Follow us, we’ll show you where the food is” chimed the doll’s disembodied voice with a slight emphasis, on Food. “We need to find the right wall first”
Gunther let out a yowl as soon as the sharp pain struck his paw, and he scurried away in pain. He grumbled and licked at his stinging paw, hissing that the doll that hit him with the spoon. The cat was fortunately not scratched from the sharp spoon and soon the pain slowly eased. The voices from the dolls were very creepy, and unlike anything Gunther was used to given his experience. Though... at the sound of food... Even as the dolls floated right in front of him, he somehow was able to disregard it, savoring the imaginary food in his jaws. Slightly drooling, the cat started trodding up to the floating dolls. “well did you have to hit me!? Well... at least you know where the food is. Alright, I’ll come along, but you better stay ahead of me! And no tricks! There better not be anything fishy about whatever wall you speak of.” Without another word, the cat followed the two dolls, purring to comfort himself from the strange situation.
“Fish? We don’t know where any fish may be but we do know where to find some tasty meat” the dolls laughed in their sing song voices.
They floated out into the main hall and over to the right side of the stairs that lead up to the second floor. They floated down until they were waist high for a human and reached out their wooden spoon arms to a rather unremarkable spot on the wall. They tapped the wall quite gently but the force made a sound like an explosion. A heavy cloud of dust covered Gunther, and the dolls. When it settled the wall had a hole in it and reaching inside the dolls brought out a large roas that was perfectly cooked and smelled delicious.
“Here you are Gunther. We hope you enjoy Castlevania Wall Meat! The two chirped happily. “You can come back tomorrow if you need more. The wall will be repaired, and a new piece of meat will be waiting “
Gunther jumped up, startled by explosion sound, and immediately started coughing when the cloud of dust covered the cat. He quickly shook his body, shaking off the dust from his fur. His eyes widened and pupils dilated at the sight of the beautiful roast that stood before his eyes. "W-well what I meant by fishy- and of course I would've liked fish anyways- wait no, point is... You have blessed me with a wonderful meal and I owe you my soul!" Gunther quickly began to eat the perfectly cooked meal, happily digging in. Several gulps past when he suddenly perked back up, "So how do we even explain the wall to Alucard- wait, wait, hold on! Does he even know about what these walls can do or- does he even know you two can talk!?"
“Your soul Gunther? You should be more careful with your words in a place like this” the dolls said in unison, cocking their heads to the side and lowering their voice to a whisper.
“Alucard is a gentle and kind person, but this castle has many dark, and dangerous secrets. We could tell you many tales.”
The toys floated up just a bit higher than Gunther and gestured at the hole in the wall. “In the morning the hole will be patched and the meat will be hidden behind it again. It is the nature of the Chaos that is Castlevania.”
Gunther tilted his head, "In a place like a castle? I mean, I'm not too sure if I even have a soul, as a cat, but I guess I'll be careful..?" Relaxing himself, Gunther continued eating as he listened to the dolls. Secrets? How peculiar. Curiouser and curiouser... Gunther had only met Alucard a short while ago, and it is certainly true that the dhampir is gentle and kind, especially offering him that salmon... "But does he know about all of this...?" He stared at the hole in the wall, blinking slowly, "Chaos...? But- wait, what are you talking about? Castlevania, nature of Chaos... the fact that it patches up holes, so you're saying that the castle is... alive?"
“The dolls floated up above the cat slowly and stretched out their little wooden spoon arms. Their voice seemed to be coming from the walls themselves now. Speaking in a voice that sounded like a group of people reciting some strange catechism.
“Of course the Castlevania is alive Gunther. It is a creature of Chaos. It’s form is malleable to the will of whomever is it’s Rightful lord and master. But if it’s master doesn’t change its form then it stays the same. The Castle isn’t just what you see. It has passageways that lead to many different places, and all are Castlevania”
The dolls floated back down to Gunther hovering almost nose to nose with the cat. “We aren’t sure if Alucard has explored the many paths that this castle has to offer.” Chimed the dolls, their voice returning to its young boy and girl voices. “He’s been busy outside, but he doesn’t know all that we know. The castle has everything you could want”
Gunther backed away from the wall, startled by the change of voices. Out of instinct, he started hissing and spitting, arching his back with his fur sticking upright. He jumped back, continuing to hiss. "This isn't right..! You sound demonic, so... You're what some of the humans accuse me of being! Possessed or whatever! A creature of chaos- then is that why you're talking? Is the castle controlling you too?" He lowered his body, ears folding back as he growled. Gunther glared at the dolls once they met up with his nose, and responded by trying to smack them with his paw as a warning. "Even if the castle has everything I want... It might be all too good to be true! Rest assured, I'll inform Alucard once he returns! You two are... freaky! Just you wait until he returns home!"
“Possessed? We suppose we must be, but that happens when someone siphons a lot of soul energy into one place. We remember flying through the castle and finding these dolls. They seemed to be an inviting place to live, and we had no bodies anymore.”
The twins looked at one another and then to the floor. Their voices became something of a group of apologetic children who’d been found sneaking snacks from the cupboard.
“We aren’t here to hurt you Gunther. We just don’t know how people behave yet. We really should read some of those books on sociology that are in the library “ The two said with a shrug from their spoon arms.
“But since you mentioned Fish, we do remember where we can find some sushis. We’ll have to take a trip through one of the paintings though.”
Gunther no longer felt tense, and eased his defenses, sitting upright and licking his paw, "hmm... well... I guess it makes sense... I'm not entirely sure how things work, but..." His eyes softened, hearing the tone of the dolls' voices and how apologetic they seemed. He began to purr, hoping the vibrating sound would ease the current tension. He purred even louder at the mention of sushi, "Yes, please! I need more food, I'm starving!"
“Alright, we can find you delicious sushi!” The twins giggled in their youthful voices. “First we have to do a bit of travel. Follow us to the fourth floor!” the dolls said in unison.
The dolls guided Gunther along the Castle’s winding stairs and passages. Past suits of armor that watched them as they passed. Past rooms of alchemist experiments, and halls of books. Finally at the end of a corridor on the eastern side of the fourth floor, the twins stopped at a large mural. The painting was vibrant and full of details. Fisherman casting nets, deckhands reeling in the days catch.“
Just through here” the dolls chimed as they passed into the painting as it was no more than the hangings on a four poster bed.
“Hurry up” the twins said from beyond the
Gunther followed them as quickly as he could, letting out a meow for every step he took up the stairs- "mewmewmewmewmewmewmewmewmew..." Gunther picked up the pace, dashing through the passages excitedly. Fish, meat, the delights..! What more could this kitty ask for? He could almost taste the delicious food in his mouth. Gunther stopped at the end of the corridor and watched the dolls seemingly enter the painting. He tilted his head, confused, "but how did you-" Gunther patted at the mural, eyes widened with surprise, "how did you get in!?" The cat cried out in desperation. THE SUSHI!!!
The toy dolls passed back into the hallway with Gunther. Floating down the twins used their spoons to lift him up even with the painting.
“Come on scaredy-cat” The dolls laughed in unison at their joke. They floated closer, and through the painting.
They were outside now, on a pier by the nearby lake. The castle was a mile or better away casting its shadow across the water. The dolls descended and placed Gunther on the rough stone. “Ok Gunther, time to go fishing” said the dolls in a somewhat serious tone.
The twin toys walked over to the edge of the pier on their soup ladle legs and looked over. They both waved their tiny spoon arms at the water as if to say hello. Then they turned to face Gunther, taking a few steps toward the cat. “We found one” The two said in unison, this time with voices like a child given a piece of candy on the sly. Suddenly, the water began to roil as a human sized, bipedal creature with scales, and a maw filled with needle like teeth lumbered onto the pier and roared at the trio.
“First we defeat the Fish-Man, then we get the Sushi!!” The dolls finished happily.
Gunther sputtered at the sight of the fish-man. His eyes widened as he arched his back. His fur began sticking up, feeling a shiver go through his body. With his claws out and his mouth open in a hiss, he screeches, "Look, you little... things! I may know how to talk, but that doesn't mean I'm all that magical!" He gulped in fear, backing away with his back still arched up, as he continued hissing and spitting. "There's only one thing I've figured out that I can do after I was given the ability to talk, but I swear, it'd only stun it! If I screech loud enough, I can stun whoever is in a close distance to me for a moment- damaging their ears, I guess..! I-I haven't figured it out completely yet!" The cat continued backing away in fear of the creature, jumping up a few times. "I've done it before when I ran from my previous owner! But if I overuse it, my voice will be sore and I won't be able to talk for weeks!" He started hissing again, in response to the creature's roar, and looked back at the dolls, crying out,
"There is no way I can handle that thing alone!"
“Maybe don’t lead with that then?” Said the dolls with a shrug. “Fish-men are one of the weaker monsters in the castle but they do have one thing going for….
The dolls were cut off as the humanoid Man Fish reared back it’s head. It opened its toothy maw and a ball of fire rocketed towards the trio
“They spit fire” finished the toys, their voice taking a deeper more ominous tone. “We can help you fight them Gunther, but we’re going to need to imbue you with some magic energy first. Hopefully it will make your claws and fangs strong enough to get rid of it.”
“Ready to try?” The twins asked as they raised their spoon arms. Speaking in strange phrases the dolls began to become surrounded by a dark violet energy
“This probably won’t hurt but we’ve never done it to a mortal before”
Gunther stared back in shock, "you mean there's more stronger than this thing!?" The poor cat jumped in shock when the man fish spat out fire. Fortunately, the ball of fire rushed past them, as Gunther jumped high enough to miss the fire, but singed his paws a tad bit. With little choice but to trust the twins during this dire situation, Gunther let out a soft meow, his ears still folded back.
"alright, I'm ready... but this better not be too painful... Should I stun it first, at least?"
“That might be a good idea. You stun it and we can give it a good whack upside it’s head!” The twins said with a bit of viciousness in their voice.
The dolls floated towards the Fish-man and began circling it in an attempt to disorient the creature.
“Whatever your going to do, do it now!” They yelled.
Gunther quickly got into his stance, jumping in front of the creature, and letting out a high pitched screech, aimed directly at the already disoriented fish-man. His pupils dilated the longer he screech, creating soundbreaking waves that hit the creature. Fangs bared, wrinkles forming between Gunther's eyes, and his eyes slightly narrowing the longer the pitch goes on. The sound echoed around them. Internally, Gunther worried it may attract more creatures, but for now, hopefully they may only have to worry about this creature. He had used this pitch before, but there were only a few times he had used it. The first time was against his owner, a witch student who tried to detain him once he accidentally received his powers. The other times were angry mobs of humans chasing him out of villages once his ability to talk was discovered. The final few times were against several of is prior owners that hadn't been so kind to him. This was different - an actual creature before him. He's seen creatures before in his travels, but had done his best to scurry past them due to his size. The screech was enough to damage the creature's eardrums, and the fish-man let out a furious roar. It was much harder to cover up its ears, given they're internal, so the frequency and pitch of Gunther's screech had successfully stunned the creature. Gunther watched at the creature desperately scratched itself, trying to cease the ringing noise in its ears. He quickly looked to the dolls, and in a hoarse voice, he speaks, "now what do we do?"
The dolls watched Gunther’s display, and privately thought to themselves, “he is definitely not anything like a normal kitty” They floated towards either side of the monstrosity in an effort to flank it. Mirroring on another’s movements on either side of the beast, the twins began to raise their little wooden spoon arms toward each other. The dolls began to give off a subtle greenish light, unnoticeable at first but growing in intensity as the pier below Gunther and the doll’s began to vibrate as if in an earthquake. As the vibrations reached a fever pitch, everything stopped.
The Eldritch green energy surrounding the toys subsided and the vibrations that had threatened to send the poor cat into the lake, ended as quickly as they started. Without a word, the dolls floated to the seemingly frozen Fish-man and each tapped the horror on the head with their tiny spoons. Without warning, the Fish-man exploded in a brilliant blast of searing white light. Gunther could see as the energy seemed to grow from the nightmare creature and engulfed it as it emanated a high pitch wail. Again, as quickly as it started, the light disappeared and the fish-man was gone. The only thing left upon the pier where it had been was a small pile of thinly sliced fish, a bit of wasabi, and a container of soy sauce. The dolls floated back down to the pier and turned to face the seemingly bewildered cat.
“Dinner is served!” The toys chimed “you can find all sorts of tasty treats, if you know where to look”

Once Alucard had asked about the location of his dolls, he heard a rustle and some tinkling metal sounds on the stone floor. He turned to see the dolls on sitting on the chair where the were not located seconds before.
“We’re you looking for us Alucard? You never play with us anymore so we’ve been playing with the others in the castle”
The voice came from somewhere between the dolls, sounding masculine and feminine at once with a touch of malevolence mixed with childlike laughter.
“Is there something you need Alucard? You can ask us…” the voice dropped to almost a whisper.
“Anything” the doll’s finished with a laugh.
"Oh... Oh god, what- What are you?! What happened to you?! You were just dolls! I made you, and you were not alive! What- H-how!?" //The dhampir backs away in horror, eyes fixated on the dolls with utmost terror. What kind of ungodly creation was this? How had these dolls come to life? Were they malicious? Nefarious? Out to possibly hurt him? He did not know, which worried him even more. "Are... Are you planning on hurting me?" //He asks in a small, whimpering voice, staring at the dolls with wide eyes. He was sure even a single blink could spell doom in this situation. "I don't know what you are... But- I made you two. Are you here to haunt me? Embodiments of my past mistakes? Is that it? Oh god, what if I'm hallucinating? Are you... Are you even real?" //It was almost more like a plea than a question. Were they real? Or was he just losing his mind?
“The dolls floated a few feet off the chair they had been occupying moments before. And again they spoke in the same child like male and female voice, interlaced with a voice that was not either. The dolls raised their spoon arms in a manner that one could interpret as I don’t know.
“We were somewhere else before the man came. The man came and needed souls for a Dark purpose and he captured many of them. We felt ourselves drawn to a place in the castle. A child’s room” said the disembodied voice of the dolls I. A tone that seemed to be remembering.
“We were pulled, very fast, through the castle and once we reached the child’s room, we saw the toys you made. We knew we could hide ourselves inside objects that were so steeped in grief, in loneliness, and despair. We had found a new home and the emotions you poured into them. We can’t thank you enough.
The dolls voice had regained its childlike timbre sounding much like a group of small boys and girls.
“We aren’t here to hurt you Alucard, and no, we don’t think you are hallucinating, although there are some mushrooms in the lower catacombs that can do that” the dolls finished with a contemplative tone.
The dolls landed on their ladle legs at Alucard’s feet and stretched out their spoon arms to give him a hug around the legs.
"I... I see. So.. I-if I understand correctly, you two are souls that were drawn to my childhood bedroom by a man? I... think I know who that was. Curse that man and all he's done!" //He tenses up upon feeling the dolls embrace his shins, though he does not kick or swat them away. He felt deeply disturbed; but something about these dolls also deeply saddened him. To possess bodies so deeply intertwined with his grief, loneliness and borderline madness from the time he was on his own... Surely an existence like that couldn't be pleasant. "So... Why- Why are you here? What will you do now, now that you have a body?" //He asks after a while of gathering his thoughts, looking down at the dolls embracing him with a mixture of sadness, concern and fear. He wondered what such little dolls could do in a place like this. What purpose could they possibly serve? Was this existence a cruelty? A kindness? He wasn't quite sure.
The dolls looked up at the man who had created their physical forms. They floated up to face him as they kept eye contact. The twins hovered and made a gesture to the walls around them.
“You already know emotions are powerful magics but we have our own emotions too Alucard. The imprint you left on us allowed us to anchor ourselves to these forms but it did not define us. The Madman used his spell to pull souls for his ends but he forgot a small detail. This place, this castle has a soul of its own. In his hubris, The Madman siphoned more than the souls of humans and vampires. He trapped a bit of the soul of this Castle as well”
The twins floated around. Their expressionless features betraying none of what could have been going on behind their drunkenly stitched eyes. They floated over to a chair in the corner and landed softly, one doll flopped over on the other.
“We can promise you we aren’t here to harm you or anyone else. We are just interested in all of the people that pop in to visit from time to time. But, if you don’t want us to show people around… we won’t.”
The doll’s voices softened. The underlying sinister presence had left and in its place was only the voice of a young girl and boy, speaking in unison”
"I... I see. Well..." //He hesitates for a moment, looking at the dolls on the chair with a mixture of pity and concern. If they truly consisted of the essence of the castle, then that meant they could be carrying some of Dracula's spirit. But as the same time... They did not seem hostile. Not anymore, at least. He walks over to gently scoop the dolls in his arms, holding them with both awkwardness and a surprising gentleness. "If showing people around is what you want to do, and you aren't here to do harm... I don't see any reason not to allow you to do so. If that is what would make you happy, then I am alright with that. And I'm glad my own sadness did not end up affecting you two! These dolls were made when I was at my lowest, so I can't imagine the amount of grief stored in them. In a way, I'm kind of happy to see them being used for something new and better, far less depressing. It's a comforting fact."
The dolls zoomed from Alucard’s arms and quickly began flying an a circle around him. They had watched the man for quite a while before deciding to say anything. Partially because they wondered if he would see them as night creatures and destroy them in a fit of unbridled anger, but mainly they were curious about his comings and goings. He had a castle full of infinite possibilities, yet he seemed to only be able to see a fraction of them. They supposed you had to be a part of the castle to truly understand it.
“Yay!!! Thank you Alucard!” The toys exclaimed
“We promise not to get anyone stuck anywhere, like in the walls, or on the roof. In the meantime if you need us, you can just call for us. We will hear you anywhere.”

We would love to show you all the mysteries and secrets we have found!” The toy’s finished as they begin floating around the Dhampier.
Aura stared at the dolls with obvious confusion in his eyes, then he gave a gentle smile and put the two dolls in his hands
"Hello ? I never thought you guys were actually alive..well every day a new thing, no?"
He murmured with a chuckle
“Hello Aura, we are happy to meet you” The two spoke in a voice that was the hallmark of many horror stories. Male and female, childlike yet with something else in the background.
The two toys lay there for a moment. The at once, they stood up then began hovering a bit higher that the hand that had held them.
“Well the term “alive might not be the best one to use. But we are here and friends so why worry about such trivial things. So Aura, what brings you to the castle? “ The toys asked eagerly
"I'm just visiting the castle, I find this place interesting! But apparently there are even more interesting things in this place."
he said, placing the dolls on the table.
"Well, if you are not alive you are spirits, right? These dolls don't look so comfortable.
He said, staring at them as he messed with the male doll's "hair".
The Trevor doll tried it’s best to stop it’s hair being tousled but it’s unbending spoon arms could not reach the spot where Aura’s hand was. Finally the doll relented.
“We are spirits, yes. Probably many but at least a few. There was a great summoning. We had died in battle here in the castle and our souls were siphoned by a madman. But we found these bodies and we didn’t have to leave when the spell was broken”. The dolls finished and looked to Aura. “
“What would you like to see?”
"What do you two like here or like to do ?"
He said with a calm and subtle expression letting go of trevor's doll's hair, he gave a chuckle and soon murmured
"I can help with anything you both want, anything!"
“What do we like to do to? Well, we enjoy exploring the castle and finding secrets. We know many things about this place that even it’s owners do not. We can find food, money, clothes, and all Manner of things here” the dolls chimed in their childish voices.
“Would you like a tour?”
@askadrianalucardtepes
Aura stared at the dolls with obvious confusion in his eyes, then he gave a gentle smile and put the two dolls in his hands
"Hello ? I never thought you guys were actually alive..well every day a new thing, no?"

He stared at the hole in the wall, blinking slowly, "Chaos...?
“Hurry up” the twins said from beyond the
*Gunther stares at the dolls for a split minute before hissing and bapping one* "I don't trust these things..." *he continues bapping at the dolls,* "...
