doomsong13 replied to your link: CLICK THE DAMN LINK
why didnt you ust change your URL?
I didn't move it to change the url, I moved it because it was attached to my main blog and I wanted to have a unique account to RP with people on. c: So I couldn't send asks or follow people as Ivan.
So then I moved admins to this one, but I still can't make it a main blog. Bah tumblrproblems.

Unfollow this blog and follow the new one, or be subjected to "this blog has moved" posts on your dash every day until the count is at 0.
I might even just que up like 100 link posts for the next month. I'm not kidding guys. You will get sick of this before I do.
New accounts
So okay officially I'm making new accounts for my ask blogs, because the snake Russia was so much easier to control/communicate with people on. xD
So anyways I'm moving them all.
I'm not done yet but I'll be getting to it soon...
All(most) of the posts have been moved I just need to fix the layout and extras on it now. So its not done at all, cause its pretty... ugly right now. xD
"ask-theflowersoldier" will soon replace this blog, it will also become the sole admin so the current blog (asktheflowersoldier) will still be up, just dormant.
This blog will also become the admin of my other 2 less active Russia blogs.
2pRussia -- http://russia2p.tumblr.com/
Dr.Kolkol -- http://askdrkolkol.tumblr.com/
So then I'll be making another for "PastaPup" and one for "AskBossSpain" and doing the same with it.
So I'll reblog this on those two as well to make sure everyone knows what's going on. c:
~JOKE.~
Now that’s clear; this was from a conversation about Ivan being bitter after the Soviet “break up” and about how he would get drunk and write letters and poems that would change mid-verse from sad to angry and vice-versa.
((Not even sure what kind of trigger this could produce but I'll tag it anyways so no one is surprised by the sudden violent nature of this photo ))
WOW TUMBLR YOU ARE SUPER MISQUOTING ME.
IS THIS WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE A POLITICIAN???
Holiest of gods look at this.
Our languages are rather similar… I can understand Polish but I can’t speak it… and Poland can understand Russian but he can’t speak it. It’s the same with my sister’s language…
But in the end we’re just too different… I still suppose since we’re both slavic we would be cousins, though.
Why can’t Poland speak Russian ._. ? Of course he can, he’s just too stubborn to admit it. Russification in Poland during the XIX century was quite strong and also it was obligatory to learn Russian in schools during the communistic period (the second half of the XX century). Even my parents know Russian very well. My generation is the first one after a long time that doesn’t have to learn Russian (instead we learn English in schools).
Headcannon versus headcannon! Believe what you want, of course! But you asked WHY so here is my headcannon.
For Feliks--I don't need to tell you-- but many poles refused to learn Russian. I feel he'd be one of them! As you said, he's stubborn! He also likes to 'play dumb' in cannon and well that seems to hide his more intelligent side. In turn, for me he doesn't seem the type to give in and learn another language when he can just speak his own. Feliks seems like he'd be frustrating in the sense he'd just laugh and be like "Lol I guess I'm dumb! Too bad!" so he'd be more likely to willingly be considered illiterate than learn to properly construct Russian sentences.
I imagine Finland was like this too, but he would be more likely to learn the language as you can't really get by speaking Finnish instead of Russian, but you can with polish!
Many Lithuanians refused as well. Its my personal head cannon that even my OTP Rusliet, Lithuania doesn't speak fluent Russian. In fact, he'd be exactly the same because he would know Polish very well and attempt to use it instead of Russian. So both of them would make shortcuts in this way. >>
So there is my second point, I was making a reference to a saying in Russian I learned in class; "I can understand Polish, but I can not speak it."
It applies to all of the Slavic languages as well, which is why I mentioned even Ivan's sisters there! Which would be far more likely, as characters, to learn Russian willingly considering they are close family.
So essentially that was the concept! That there is a difference between understand and speak. No matter how much Russian I learn, and can understand, I am really really terrible at making sentences and so I would repeat this saying a lot. >3>
LASTLY it is a head-cannon that since all the comics are in a single language for the reader to understand, that the nations have a sort of tower-of-babel language.
I hope that helps bring light on to where I was coming from. ♥
