Hello! I'm the Doctor. Just the Doctor! I had the sudden idea that having a Tumblr again would be great fun. So here I am! Haven't done this in a regeneration. Sure I'll get the hang of it eventually, just have to mind the wibbly wobbly coding bits. Not that it's difficult or anything, I mean I am a Time Lord, but human HTML is just so counter-intuitive. Oh, and the Ponds say hi! They're my companions, and they've joined me here on this Tumblr... thing. Amy's wonderful blog is here and Rory's just-as-wonderful blog (though with a slightly more morbid title) is here. Oh, right. Ask me things! Things are nice. Genius needs an audience, after all.

Anyway, needless to say I'll be gone for a bit. I'll be back as soon as possible, of course, I probably just have a few things to sort out. Monsters? End of the universe? Illness, perhaps? Oooh, that'd be a first in a long while.

In the meantime, the TARDIS is programmed to answer any and, hopefully, all questions relevant to my disappearance. Ooh, bloody horrible word, that is. "Disappearance." Let's not say that again.

Oh, I do hope this message is synced with the correct time on the internet if I am unable to stop updating, though. Err, hold on-- let me just check the time stabilizers--

I'm, err-- sorry about not being around to update much, but you know, life of the explorer and all. Not much time to settle down and manage a silly little blog.

I've just got on to inform you that we-- me and the Ponds, that is, and everyone else involved-- have long since left Soro X5, and quite a bit has happened since then. The time stabilisers have gone wibbly again, and a bit more time has passed for us than for you. In fact, I might not see any of you for quite a while. I've been running from something important for a long time, and I think it's about time I face it. I just wanted to say goodbye, alright? You know how it is, the TARDIS will manage everything while I'm gone. Blimey, remember the last time that happened? What a riot. Anyway, we've had a fantastic time together, haven't we, everyone?

M78, This new image of the reflection nebula Messier 78 was captured using the Wide Field Imager camera on the MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at the La Silla Observatory, Chile. This colour picture was created from many monochrome exposures taken through blue, yellow/green and red filters, supplemented by exposures through a filter that isolates light from glowing hydrogen gas. The total exposure times were 9, 9, 17.5 and 15.5 minutes per filter, respectively.
