And some explanation:

Izm reacted strongly negatively to the need for a photo for the record. She knows scp-978 portrays the subject's desires in the photo, so he attempted to escape.

It was this photo that marked (for me) the beginning of this AU. Izm might have dreamed of quitting, of a quiet life, of love and understanding, but I believe: "Izm wished he had met his friends much earlier."

I know it sounds a little strange and corny... but perhaps if they had all met in childhood, they would have become best friends by then. Izm spent his childhood alone, dealing with problems all by himself. And he knows that his friends also suffered through shit in their childhood. If Izm had the chance to turn back time, to become a child again, the first thing he would do would be to look for his friends, so he could spend a happier childhood together!
