            Can’t best her? Well, now the dark Fairy was feeling somewhat insulted by the woman and in a way, her expression revealed that very fact as she arched a brow and narrowed her gaze. From what she had heard of Cora- she was one tough bitch and hard to cross. Maleficent was no fool and there was capability for her to respect the woman in front of her, though she wasn’t too keen on being insulted.

"I wouldn’t go so far as to say that, necessarily.” She snapped, though not entirely out of disrespect.

                “You don’t honesty expect me to believe that you would go against your own daughter; would you?” Then again, from what she had heard, that almost didn’t seem at all surprising.

The slight movement proved to strike a nerve; one Cora had anticipated. Cora had heard about what happened to Maleficent, how her daughter turned on her only friend not one, but twice. Regina wasn't the type not to, after all she did learn from the best.

"Wouldn't you?" She chirped out, as tilted her neck to the side. Clearly a taunt, Cora knew the insult was spot on.

"Really? Is that what expect yourself to believe? We both know what my daughter is capable of my dear, it's better not to fool yourself with speculations; of what could be. Rather what is; would be the more accurate, don't you think so?"

    There was no need to question who the woman was that stood before her. With a slight tilt of her head, Maleficent’s gaze wandered over the other’s form in a curious notion at the same time the corners of her lips curled in somewhat of a malicious fashion.

            “Pleasure’s all mine, surely.” She added with a slight twitch of her left brow. “And here I thought I’d never have the honor of meeting Regina’s mother.” There was a hint of amusement behind her words, her smirk broadening even further.

"But tell me, your Majesty, what makes you think I need any help in my ‘quest for vengeance’ as you so put it?”

"Oh I assure you darling, the honor is all mine." Cora's lips kept the curve to them as she didn't even break the contort; her poker face. Cora kept her gaze upon Maleficent, if Regina had told Maleficent about Cora; then she'd surely be well informed.

"I know what you’re up against and whom; so answer me this dear. How do you expect to win against Regina? When you can’t even best her. I’m the only one who can truly give you what you want.”
