As the marketing machine for the Ender’s Game movie ramps up (like you, I saw several commercials during some of my favorite shows this week), LGBT advocates such as the group Geeks Out are urging you to Skip Ender’s Game because it the invention of a bigoted anti-LGBT advocate and racist who has used the money he made off the story to spread hate and intolerance.

When I heard Orson Scott Card (the author of Ender’s Game) was a homophobe, for some reason I thought he’d been dead for a few decades and I was like, “OK, that’s terrible, but it’s not like the movie money will actively go to anti-LGBT groups, since he’s dead.”

I WAS WRONG. He’s still alive, and he still serves on the board on the National Organization for Marriage. DO NOT PAY TO SEE THIS MOVIE.

"That simply means everyone aside from Dirk and Desi aren’t fulfilling their end of the bargain as your matesprits," I comment, tendrils wrapping around Jane’s waist to pull her over and lay her down on top of me.  "You need to stop this whole thing you’re doing right now.  The whole undeserved self-loathing thing."

The tendrils around her are pulled taut as she attempts to pull away, keeping her from moving very far.  ”I didn’t distance myself from you,” I say as I turn my head around completely to face her.  ”And you do realize that I am literally an eldritch abomination that devours the living on occasion?  I wouldn’t talk much about being an odd match…” 

I chuckle softly and press my forehead against hers.  ”Now just relax so I can properly enjoy your presence - a presence I’ve missed for some time now.”

"Heh - my dear there are a few things I would like to do," I answer.

Flipping myself onto my back I wrap a single tendril around her waist and lift her up and onto my stomach, positioning her so that she can properly straddle my midsection.  "It all depends on what kind of mood you're in..."

Alma made a low grumbling noise as she stretched out in front of her lover, her spade tail flicking. She didn't say anything, more or less just making herself comfortable.

I let out a soft chuckle as Alma stretches out on the floor.  "There's a perfectly good bed just a few rooms down," I remark teasingly.
