Hannah’s faith was admirable, and something he’d once mirrored. Perhaps it was the start of the lack there of that was causing all of his suffering. Because the truth in her words rang true. He had sided with them so many times, that he really was no different than that of a fallen. “ What I have learned is pain, weariness, hunger - want. Every moment is spent suffering for the actions of another. For Eve’s temptation in the garden. Something they had little to no control over. If God were just, why would he make them suffer even now. How is it just to let them walk through life unguided until their demise where they will face judgement? If God is just, why did he leave? “

"Gadreel, in the end, only wanted to be good. Humans may deny it but they want that too. Unguided? If we are all drawn and longing towards the same purpose...Are we? Are they?  He made us all.Thus, we display aspects of Him. Angels...perhaps He thought distancing us from emotions would spare us pain. But He is capable of all of them. Fury.Joy. Sadness. He makes his own choices. And He creates.With man,he gave them greater choice and feelings and creative power. And in that way,they are closer to him than us. The Creator said be good and keep faith. Perhaps He hoped we could avoid the possible future He saw in store for us by warning us. Maybe it WAS a possibility. But then we chose wrong. Man blamed Eve. We blamed Lucifer and Gadreel. We say God is omnipotent and omniscient. We do not say He is free from suffering. If our actions can disappoint and anger and sadden Him...Then is it not clear He is not immune from suffering? How can He keep from us something He cannot keep from himself?" Hannah had no answer to Castiel's last question. "No one knows why He left. Or if they do,they've never told me." Hannah studied his expression. It was still odd trying to decipher such things when there had been much less of a need before they were thrown from Heaven. She wasn't sure if she should ask this question,but she was curious.   "Is it true He brought you back once? "

Even having it all shoved            into my mind and understanding their references - I fail to see what there is for            us to learn from them. “

Let’s be real here, Hannah’s death wasn’t just a waste of a character. Lee Majdoub did such an amazing job filling Erica Carroll’s shoes and I feel like he could really have taken the character somewhere if he’d had the chance. But instead he’s written out five minutes after his first appearance. Okay then.
