Courier, everyone else is worried about wishes but frankly I agree with you. You're a professional and you wouldn't have made the wish if you didn't know what you were doing. You have your plans, now all you have to do is see them through. What's next on the agenda, Courier? -Interloper
BONNIE: Thank crab one of you have some sense!
BONNIE: There's the cart then the dock then the grocer then the mill... or is it the mill then the dock? No, can't get the flour wet... y'know, let me just pull out a map, that'll be easier to explain.
(Bonnie reaches into their satchel and pulls out a map.)
BONNIE: First thing's first, I gotta pick up the cart. Usually I can do most deliveries just with my satchel and hands, but today is gonna be a lot of ferrying heavy boxes of food to and fro so the cart will be necessary.
BONNIE: Besides! It's a good item to have on hand for Combate, and getting it now means I don't have to fight for it tomorrow.
BONNIE: Most food orders will be for fresh stuff, so that's fish from the dock, meat from the butcher, and then veggies and fruits from the grocer, but I also do have some orders for non-perishables from the grocer and the mill.
BONNIE: A lot of today is logistical as Dile would put it. Optimization. How much can I carry with the cart, what order of things do I need to pick up, how do I triangulate travel distances from pick up to drop off to maintain freshness.
BONNIE: For example, even though meat, fish, fruits, and veggies are all prone to spoiling, meat and fish spoil sooner than fruits and veggies, but fruits and veggies bruise in boxes, with longer travel times, with roughness, et cetera. So you deliver the meats first and fast, then the fruits and veggies second and careful.
BONNIE: That's disregarding the fact that households are asking for different things entirely. At least one of these deliveries is going to be just fruits, veggies, and non-perishables, because the house is vegetarian. The people most likely to ask me to deliver their fish are the people all the way on the other side of town away from the dock.
BONNIE: And there's reputation to keep in mind too. If the vegetarian family sees me delivering a bunch of fish and meat to the families inland, they might wonder about cleanliness, or feel that I am prioritizing other houses before themselves because in their mind, when they first see me today should be for their delivery, not someone else's.
(Bonnie pauses and stares at the map for a while.)
BONNIE: Actually, with that in mind, I remember I need to adjust some things for today considering what happened last time. I can't have the Lécuyers on their vengeance rampage... Is there a way to avoid them while still making sure the Renauds get their fish fresh...?
(Regardless of what Bonnie is saying, their feet seem to know where to take them.)
