Hello! I have a question for mun. I'm planning on starting a cosplay ask blog for Nyo!Austria and I already have all the costume stuff. I was wondering, how does one go about starting a cosplay ask blog and getting followers? Thank you so much and I love this account!

My first bit of advice would be to come into this to have fun...
Don’t do it for fame or whatever, because that can make your expectations a bit hard on you and people around you. I came into this to have a bit of fun with my friends, I didn’t expect to meet an entire community of wonderful and talented cosplayers.
This is just my advice; others may disagree with me! These are all simple suggestions from me, stuff I’ve followed myself!!
1. Make sure you tag everything; not only for your audience to saviour against certain tags they’re not interested in, but for better future reference for yourself in case you want to go back to an ask you did or if you roleplay, to dig up an old roleplay.
2. Don’t reblog too much, or clog your blog up with too much unrelated stuff! Having a personal blog as my side blog helps keep my ask blog relevant and clean! I have an ‘ask response’ tag to filter out even my related reblogs. It’s here.
3. Have a few friends on board to ask you questions when you first start out - I never did that ‘anonymously ask yourself stuff’. I didn’t realise that was even a thing until after a while of ask blogging!
4. Check generic tags such as hetalia cosplay blog, hetalia ask blog, and reach out to other friendly-looking blogs by following them, sending them asks, and communicating with them!
5. Have a blog theme that’s interesting and easy for followers to navigate - I know mine isn’t as such, but it’s been my theme for years and I don’t really want to change it? It’s relevant by having my face all over it, haha!
6. Make sure to keep your followers in the know about stuff; take care of them! Also, they may need encouragement to send you asks so always reblog those question lists and other incentives to send you stuff. I have a list of the stuff I’ve reblogged in my time here.
7. If you have music on your blog (like me), set it to being very quiet. This doesn’t shock people who have a tendency to be jump scared easily and what have you. I’ve received a lot of compliments for my music choice, and I’ve been told people chill out on my blog to listen to my music!
8. Be friendly, respectful, and always down to earth. The people that admire your work will feel more happy to message you if they don’t feel like you’re on a pedestal.
9. When answering questions, try to think outside the box and be creative! GIFs, pictures, videos, etc. - The world is your oyster, and just because everyone else mostly uses GIFs, that doesn’t mean you have to. Bring in other ask bloggers to collaborate with as well!
10. And, finally - I know a lot of people found me because I collaborated with many ask blogs (including askcosplayfrance). My collaborations are collected in this tag for me (not all because I recently added the tag and I have yet to finish going through my blog content, I’m still removing the roleplays from my blog and moving them to @askukarthur-roleplay).
Collaborating with others is very fun, and I think it’s a great way to be discovered!
Super fun fact: if a tree falls in the forest and no animal or human is there to hear it, it really /doesn't/ make a sound. This is because it emits sound /waves/ which then becomes sound when our brains decode it

I was looking through one of my bis sisters fashion magazines and I saw an advertisement for eyebrow brushes. I looked at my sister and said "who would want brows like aph England" and she just gave me this strange look, then I showed her what he looks like and she started laughing. (tbh, I love the way you do your brows ^_^ )
