Mun here, just thought I’d say hi and share a few guidelines!

this is a rp/ask blog, the basic idea is that Aughra gave urVa a magical device that works like a smartphone, and told him to keep an eye on the Skeksis as they explore the internet as we Earthling know it;

he thinks that what we call TDC is one of many accounts of the story of Thra that exist in the universe, and in our world it happened to manifest as some kind of fairytale puppet show which may or may not be accurate;

all of this is supposed to be before the Skeksis began to drain Gelfling anyway, and he’s got time to chat, nothing too urgent is happening;

you can certainly write to him as your actual self, ocs are also welcome, he’d love to make friends, even enemies, he’s lonely lmao;

but no crossovers please;

sometimes he’ll visit the Valley and come back with stories, so if anyone has questions for the other Urru he can ask them for you;

if there are other Urru blogs out there he’d love to interact, so far he only knows about urGoh;

feel free to tag him in fanart and aesthetic stuff you think he’d like;

if there are any topics you want tagged or you don’t want to discuss do let me know;

and while we’re on this topic, I enjoy the fact that in canon Skeksis and Urru are infertile, so please let’s not talk about children;

last but certainly not least... my only ship for him is Mal/Va ♥

Greetings, Ritual-Master. The Urru who lost their lives on the First Day have been on my mind as of late, even though I barely knew them Before. I don't even know what they loved to do the most. Thra says nothing, Aughra sleeps, and urZah tells me to move on, but I cannot. I see their faces in the hollows of trees, and in the shapes of the clouds. And so I ask you, Ritual-Master, if you can spare a kind word: what might please their spirits? What might help them rest? I thank you regardless.

... But since my other half has failed you, I will do what he could not.

I admit, I’ve wondered about the fate of the lost ones myself. When my fellow Skeksis used to ask what might have become of them, I would tell them to seek pleasure in the world of the living and not trouble themselves with such thoughts, but I know your kind are not so easily distracted. But I believe the answer still lies along those lines.

When I was troubled by thoughts of skekYi and skekHak, I used to burn offerings of food or other small gifts. They didn’t get a chance to enjoy Thra’s bounty, but this way, they can still share in some of it. Perhaps you could make such an offering for your dead kin? Even if you do not know what they would have enjoyed, the gesture may be enough.

Hmm. UrZah never mentioned seeking ... pleasure. He spoke of letting go of regret, for the past cannot be changed, and the only way is forward. It is correct, of course, but I find that it brings no comfort, no closure.

I shall set aside some time to make some offerings to them. Perhaps I shall involve a ... friend, one who happens to indulge more often in things that bring pleasure.

I tried to make a compromise with skekMal, and I said I would not try to interfere with his hunt as long as he refrains from needlessly killing sentient beings. Property, however, is not sentient.

If I am at his side, of course I will always try my best to keep damage to a minimum. If I am not, well...

Regardless, I regret that this happened, and I hope that you are otherwise unharmed.

What type of tea/food do you suggest when your out in the woods?

Ah, greetings!

Hmm... for tea I always do recommend the green variety. It keeps your mind sharp, your breath fresh, and your feet moving.

As for food, absolutely do prepare something for your journey in advance - there is no guarantee that you will actually find edible fruits and mushrooms, or perhaps only a few.

I suggest something that keeps you full but does not take up too much space, such as a wrap. I am partial to leaf wraps myself. The filling is up to you. Be sure to include some kind of nuts and seeds - they are quite filling despite their size.

You could even make several small wraps - this way, if you happen to run into a friend, or perhaps your elusive half, you can share your food with them, tempt them to eat something green at least once every hundred trine. But I digress.

Oh, and before I forget: remember to drink water!

COUNTRY: the... Urskek planet?

RESIDENCE: at the roots of the Sanctuary Tree

AVERAGE HOURS OF SLEEP: probably not too many, he wishes he could sleep more

TYPE OF BED: maybe a bunch of old blankets to lie down on, but otherwise no bed, I doubt he’s ever slept in one

AMOUNT OF BLANKETS: he’s got only one but it’s very big and he can fold it to make it thicker depending on the weather

AMOUNT OF PILLOWS: one to sleep on and one to keep as a spare in case he needs it for a visitor <3

TYPE OF CLOTHING: I ... don’t think he has pajamas lol, nor do I think he sleeps with nothing on cause there’s no telling who might discover him, cause he sleeps in the wilds, and he might have to get up in a hurry, so maybe he just removes his outer layers

DO THEY SLEEP WITH COMPANY?: sometimes!

DO THEY SLEEP WITH PLUSHIES?: no lol he IS the plushie

DO THEY SLEEP BETTER WITH COMPANY?: he is a bit of a loner so not really... except if it’s the right kind of company, someone familiar, someone he can relax with, and most importantly, someone who can handle themself and doesn’t need him to guard them

DOES IT MATTER WHERE THEY SLEEP?: nope, he can fall asleep anywhere, like a cat - he basically sleeps wherever he can find shelter in his travels

FREQUENT DREAMS, NIGHTMARES?: no, he doesn’t dream, and he’s glad, cause he’s sure he’d get awful nightmares lmao

WHAT DO THEY DO IF THEY CANNOT FALL ASLEEP?: he counts stars

DEEP SLUMBER OR NAPS?: deep slumber

WHEN DO THEY WAKE UP?: with the sunrise, always - except on the rare occasions when he allows himself to indulge

WHEN DO THEY SLEEP?: it depends on how tired he is, if he’s been running around all day or if he’s been in a fight he’ll crash sooner, if not, he’ll stay up and admire the night sky and enjoy his tea <3

Just for that, I’m not going to tell you that skekAyuk and myself are the longest running and the only couple to remain exclusive, but that skekOk and skekLach share a bed and a significant part of their lives together. And that skekSa has her sordid little harem of Gelfling. And that it’s a well-known fact that the General’s heart belongs to the Emperor and the Emperor alone.

It must be irritating to get so many nosy, indelicate questions, but it seems that all this practice has helped you get better at deciphering their meaning, and you always do respond with such infinite grace regardless.

As for the rumor, I will only confirm the fact that skekMal does visit me from time to time, and we share food and drink and shelter. It is no secret that we can get along if we both try.
