Hey, do y’all remember the japanese the illustration zine I told y’all about in this post ? Well I’m currently working on it and I wanted to share a sneak peek with y’all ! Here is a piece of work inspired by Hiroshige and Hokusai works. They both are artists that I deeply love and respect for what they had to offer. I studied them a lot before drawing this in order to blend the inspiration with my own perspective. Everything was hand drawn and inked but edited and colored digitally. This is one of the few if not the only full color illustration from the zine that I’ll be posting on here. The full color zine won’t be free so I don’t want to post all the content here because that wouldn’t be fair for the few who would want to pay. I’ll make another post about all the stuff concerning the zine later. I love y’all !

Mental health, inktober and projects for the future

Hey guys !

You may have noticed I’ve been quite inactive these past two weeks. In fact, I only posted once and it was a crappu gif in order to make up for the lack of content (oops, that sounds familiar). Actually, school’s been giving me a hard time, I studied so much I rarely ever had any moment to draw. Grades put aside, I’m not exactly in the best place in my life right now mental health wise. Kinda depressed but everything’s alright I promise !

Because of all that, I don’t think I’ll be able to take part in inktober this year which deeply saddens me. I’m still working on my zines but everything will be a bit delayed. Holidays are not to far for me (cause in France we have holidays everything two months and a half) so I’m sketching a lot of stuff so I can post everyday for two weeks !

Also, I’m still currently working on both my comics a lot ! I bet you guys have spotted that mystery girl straight out of a 70´s movie quite a few times now ! Her name is Eri Watanabe and she’ll be a main in Sukeban 54th ! I also posted a nice yakuza boy who goes by the name of Keisuke ! I’m still trying to improve and be more consitent character design wise so their appearance might change a bit in the upcoming months. I really want to start publishing it next year. Where shoulp I post it first ? Tapas or Tumblr ? I could do both honestly... What’s really stopping me from posting is my lack of skills in term of perspective, plus I really want everything to be fluid and consistent cause it will be runnig for a few years ! I’m so excited to share it with you ! Speaking of that, I actually need someone who makes a comic to proofread mu thumbnails and help me for my pages composition so if you know anyone or yourself own a comic, hit me up !

Here’s a flower sketch from my sketchook ! These flowers are called “Digitales pourpres” in french and are very dear to me !! This specy is one of my favorites but is highly toxic and will kill you in a heartbeat if you dare to mess with them. They’re also used in medicine, some medicines heart diseases are made of them. Useful and powerful.

Back to school, driving lessons and Inktober (plus stapler issues)

                                                   Hey guys ! 

    Today was the first day of my last year of highschool ! A lot happened (well not really but whatever) and I finally got my schedule ! I need a little week to adjust and build a working schedule that doesn’t overtake on my school work. I might not be posting as much because of that, so accept my apologize ! Plus my mom said she will force me to learn how to drive cuz I need to be independant n crap... I will also have to fit driving lessons into the schedule but I’ll do my best to work on my art as much as I can, I promise !

   On another note, I’ve been preparing for Inktober this lately ! I’m so excited about it !!! Plus do y’all know what cool event happens to be on the same month ? MY BIRTHDAY YAAAAAAY ! Your girl is turning 17 in a couple weeks (on October 7th) !! I litterally can’t wait !! Send me a lot of love please, I really need it ! Cuz it was still summer and I was still free few day ago, I made so many handmade sketchbooks in my spare time. I always loved crafting, especially when it came to make books lol ! Before I knew, I found myself surronded with black themed sketchbook ready to be fill. However, I also realized I need a new long arme stapler because the stapler I currently use sucks butt cuz it’s not long enough and it gives me a hard time making everything neat... That aside, I really wonder what theme should I follow for inktober.... I might just draw a bunch or things that are a sore to the eyes plus some body horror because I want to get better at that ! I always loved creepy things. Next year, I’ll challenge myself to draw things I deeply hate/am scared of like snails, slugs and drugs ! 

     This month, I’ll be posting a lot of figure drawing studies cause I’m currently trying to understand anatomy better most of my working time is actually dedicated to figure drawing and making reference zines ! Talking about those, I’m currently making them to help me get faster in my drawing process but they MIGHT be avaible online for a couple of dollars in one or two months ! I’ll make one on full body sketches, one on hand and feet and one of facial features. Disclaimer : Y’all might have noticed that I don’t draw in a especially very realistic style but a more “ western comic-y” style so don’t except anything De Vinci like lol ! That’s all I have to say for now.
