Shiny new bloggo!

Hello Y'all! So my old tumblr @Kreweleaderbuuru was kilt and this is my new gw2 alt. I'm not gonna be posting any of my old Dumb Bitch Takes(tm) here and will focus soley on art. I've actually wanted a dedicated asomic alt for a while, so this way I can have an archive of all my old work.

I'm not sure what tagging conventions I'll have yet, right now I'm just gonna focus on posting everything.

So in the end I'm keeping these two beta rats characters: "Oozie" and Parr

Individual rambles below (starting with the short one that did not explode into a massive thing)

"Oozie" (gonna pick a different name, but it might be what she calls her ooze) is a younger researcher who joined the Pact efforts (or equivalent, unsure yet) either right out of College or as an alternative. She's is one of the asura who first tested the mercurial mold to become Amalgam, but I'm still not sure what her role in the story is and how she obtained her ooze. All I know is that she's a spry little thing and she loves freaking people out with her ooze friend. Her hair is also gonna be custom, but I still want to start from that one style.

Not sure I'll ever make her in-game, as I already have Bunnie for the engy/female model/asura combo. Unless...

As for Parr the Goner, he is gonna be part of Zehmik's story, as I wanted an OC who was "swallowed by the Mists" (in depth ramble: Mists Anomalies and Corruption). In Zehmik's backstory I had that he lost people he cared about to such phenomenons, and Parr perfectly clicked into place right away.

Still not much in terms of backstory for Parr, other that he was involved in the Mist War at some point (joined as a rookie and was taken under Zehmik's wing, as he was already a veteran) and either underestimated the dangers of Mist Anomalies while studying them or by accident he ended up close to one right around reset.

He was gone for a time (origin of his title), and when he came back he was remarkably different, showcased skills matching those of Paragons (though his chants are more like a choir), and generally acted weirdly and spoke of things that never happened. Most unsettling, he always leaves safe zones every time the reset approaches and he doesn't always come back after reset (reason why his title stuck even after his initial return, as other Mist Warriors keep betting on whether he's gonna be a goner for good each time). Despite the general curiosity, no one dared to follow him due to the risks. Zehmik was overjoyed he had returned, but quickly became quite disturbed by him. Not only his friend (potentially also more-or-less-lover idk yet) changed so much and became erratic in the way they interacted, but Zehmik also likely blames himself for that, despite what happened entirely being out of his control.

Some say Parr is part of the Mist War now... and they're kinda right. Multiple version of Parr experienced the same tragic event with the Mist Anomaly during that reset, and somehow got merged into one single being. Additionally, magic surges sometimes make him "jump" to a different version of Tyria that originated one of those Parr, which explains him not being always present. He also can't leave the Mists anymore.

His mind is quite chaotic, all versions of himself switching between working together or arguing over what to do (kinda like an interdimentional and magically fucked up form of DID). When they work together, he's efficient and weirdly quiet (he practically has a krewe in his own mind constantly in communication), but when they don't, he acts erratically and talks to himself a lot (some say in more than one copy of his voice at a time).

He knows stuff he shouldn't know or that never happened in specific timelines because all his memories get jumbled up, but the various Parr agreed to play dumb and pretend he never said something whenever he gets it wrong (which happens often, but it's better than trying to explain it all), so people treat him as a weirdo who says crazy things.

Parr doesn't even know how many versions of himself are in himself, as only a few of them tend to "man the ship", and sometimes a new one pops out (was it buried under the others? was it just taking longer to come to terms with the trauma of it all? was another Parr late to the Anomaly incident party? who knows!) or goes dormant for a time (usually until he returns to the Tyria of origin).

Nowadayas he doesn't even participate much in the Mist War itself, at most helping out people in need he comes across (mostly from his Tyrias of origin). Other than that, he tends to always stay away from camp, either by himself or spending time with the other Mists Denizens (a few of them are the only ones who know what's going on with him), outside of the times he needs to go grab supplies.

Overall, he's learned to be fairly chill about his situation (the time in which he was "gone" was a rough learning experience, plus I guess being part of the Mists gives some sort of unexplicable insight) and he doesn't really care about what others think (at most he gets a bit melancholic about the friends he had before, but he's left that behind for the most part).

Very unlikely that I'll remake him in game, as I already have Zehmik for the asura/male/warrior combo and both would be specifically for WvW.
