a hazy mind slowly coming thru ; bright blue orbs behind a misty cloud as the effects of the phantoms cling to her entity fears of her past plaguing her memories of her failings soaring fresh and strong in her mind pooling tears dare to stream down her cheeks as she tries to push passed the horrific events that she knows aren’t true. Her family they are fine on earth. Reign is gone and she can’t hurt anyone anymore. Everyone she loves is safe and they will find a way to find her or she will find a way to get back to them she just had to hold onto hope. hope..this place was hopeless she could feel it, she could feel it draining away from within her but she would remain strong she had to get back to her family.
her gaze become more clear as she pushed herself up from her laying position taking in her surroundings it didn’t appear to be a far cry from the outland caves of her own planet she remembered her father telling her of an exhibition he had taken there when they found technology hidden beneath the ice and snow and sent out a science expedition to see what it was worth. attention finally drawing upon the figure with their back to her a man.. he must have found her out in the open and taken her. shifting quicker to a seated position and pushing herself back against the wall she took in the figure brows creasing at the bridge of her nose. “ wh..who are you? where am I?”
After Years, the torment that was the phantom zone had become nothing but numbness to the once brilliant mind of house El. A light heart full of love and hope had become heavy with burden and fear, losing all the hope his family name was built on. Nothing the creatures of the realm threw could phase a broken man. Except this. The mere image of his family’s glyph ached, surely his tortured mind was playing with him. Showing him a mirage to torment him once more as if being stuck in the phantom zone for centuries wasn’t enough. Seeing the mere image of a young woman who so strongly resembled that of his daughter just reminded him of the mistakes of his past.
Despite really believing this was pre-imagination, he had to do something. Protecting the woman from the phantoms, that was something that came naturally. Sigil upon the woman’s chest or not. Even if his mind suspected that this was all but an illusion to pre-occupy all the free time he seemed to have in this ironically timeless realm. Zor-El was never one to ignore a person in need of help. The scientist found himself having long conversations with nearly everyone of his past over time. Hallucinations lasting sometimes hours or even days but never in complete silence. They where more tortuous and painful making the loneliness all more real. This. This was confusing.
In spite of having his back turned, the shift from the woman made the son of Seg-El well aware she had finally awaken from her unconsciousness. Normally a sweet caring man, the broken Zor-El couldn’t find the words to help with the clear panic she had been expressing. Simple factual words fell from his lips. ❝ Calm down. There are no phantoms here. ❞ Simple and quick, however the response not anticipated. Funny. He anticipated most responses from mirages. ❝ As if you don’t know ❞ A pause only for a moment, taken back by this illusion’s sudden ignorance. Taking it more as game his mind was playing. In attempt to remind him of himself and some of the wrong doings he was apart of. ❝ You bare the glyph of my house. So you must be a mirage. Another figment of my own tortured mind. ❞
