This sick bleach shirt I made. Something to showcase my undying love for prehistoric cave art.
Some of the bleach burned thru the shirt bc this was my first time bleaching anything ever, but it kinda adds to it.

Happy Pride and if your cis/het/allo partner is mistreating you in any way for your gender or orientation, even passively—if they brush off your concerns about queer rights, disparage your oppression, look down on your queer culture, make queerphobic “jokes”, casually misgender you or call you straight, hang around queerphobes all the time, etc… (and this includes if they’re a different type of queer than you)
Tell them to stop and if they won’t, then fucking dump them! You deserve better and you can DO better! It doesn’t have to rise to the level of hate crimes, being constantly microaggressed by loved ones is not OK. Someone who is in your life on purpose does not get free reign to trample on you and call it “ignorance”.
people need to talk about socially acceptable abuse more. it's literally why we're a system. the spanking that people refuse to believe is physical abuse when there are multiple studies showing it affects kids just as much as any other type of physical abuse. the way a parent might talk down to their kid their entire life and make them feel like they cant make any choices themself or be independent that they only notice when someone else points out how their parent(s) talk too and about them. the parentification of the oldest kid(s) when they have a single parent. the unnoticeable praise towards the "easy" child that all the other children pick up on. the neglect the "easy" child has to go through. a kid being punished for going to their parent(s) when they mess up and need help. not being taught how to clean or cook or do laundry or even how to wash certain parts. it all destroys a kid and it was all socially acceptable in my family and in the communities i grew up in.

AU where Sauron literally pours all of his cruelty and malice and will to dominate all life into the One Ring...
And then just fucking stares at at it for five seconds before dropping it on the ground and leaving because without all that stuff he's Nice now.
Why does this sound like crackfic C.S. Lewis would write just to get back at Tolkien for disapproving of him putting a lamppost in Narnia
i think people are starting to confuse class analysis with bioessentialism. like... no not all men do this, but Men as a constructed social class do do this. that's still okay to say. that is regular material analysis of the world around us.
feels like a real step back that with all the sexual freedom available to us we moved to Hookup Culture instead of Having Sex With Friends Culture

Ok I needed to know the story and
Guy makes a really stupid decision and gets in a car accident -> no real damage from accident but insurance goes up -> starts beating himself up over his stupid decision -> gets depressed -> starts to realize he's single and had crash been worse he'd die alone -> realizes he's never had a relationship or even a crush and starts wondering what he'd want out of a relationship -> starts to realize he doesn't really like girls so he thinks he must be gay -> realizes he likes girls and boys about the same amount, so he must be bi -> later realizes that "same amount" is none at all -> he's ace

Myth of the Brown Recluse: Fact, Fear, and Loathing Rick Vetter Department of Entomology, University of California, Riverside, CA
treat yourself to a uc riverside spider researcher rapidly losing his cool over the course of this article as he desperately tries to convince his interlocutors, The Entire State of California, that there is literally no evidence that we have brown recluses
That was a really fun read I love him just flat out challenging anyone to show him proof of the species in the state then going on to pretty much say ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT HERE
This is really funny to me because a childhood friend's mom was a nurse in Cali who told a graphic story of this guy coming in with a little baggie of a brown recluse spider he'd killed and left on his wall until coming in with an ugly necrotic hand wound so like. I am sorry mister researcher I'll try to find the baggie for you but

I’m 34k words into fixing s3 via way more historical vignettes than one would think should be in a s3 fix it and also a lot of philosophical musing and I’m kinda scared by the time I’m done writing no one will want to read it lmao
congrats on writing such a massive and ambitious amount of words, that takes time, dedication, and i guess in your case also spite lol. i hope the art of creating is already providing you with some happiness and endorphins. truly, you should be proud to be writing a project like that
we can’t really control how many people read our work so i hope you avoid focussing on that as a measurement of happiness. everything has an audience, however big or small, and lots of factors (like luck) influence that number. though i’m 100% sure there will be people who want to read your fic. and with that being said, when you finish, if you make a post on tumblr feel free to tag me and i’ll give it a reblog
oh tumblr staff definitely noticed the transphobe allegations and put the entire lgbtq+ in it LMAO
I remember on the first read through of GTN, wondering why everyone treated the Ninth as an immediately strange party (Magnus excepted, maybe) and then I make videos like this and realize how horrifying these bone cultists look walking through tunnels. Spooky.

The scene where Nona accidentally listens to Camilla and Palamedes's tape recorder conversation is so interesting to experience. Because on the one hand oh my GOD "it's not you it's me wearing you" I'm so normal about them I swear. But also this is a series that shares information very slowly and very intentionally. And like it still leaves a lot of unknowns sure but at least for me suddenly getting just direct discussion of the plot and what the hell was going on was such a new experience it really felt like "oh shit am I supposed to know this I feel like I'm not supposed to just know this" which fits well with what Nona was experiencing at the time.
