"Let me help with that." - @starsandsweetpeas

"Huh?"
Asra had to peek out from the tower of crates filled with various bottles and jars to be able to see the person talking to him. "Oh don't worry, I do this everyday, wouldn't want to detour you from your routine." He smiles at the redhaired woman even though his arms could give out at any moment right now, they definitely did NOT do this every day.

"Oh no need, my treat!" Asra laughs softly at the notion of them ditching her " I would never! You are lovely company, very rare here. I won't be long."
He smiled and went up to the bar, they are seen talking to the worker and then pulling from their bag various items like precious rocks and encrusted shells. The man behind the counter is visibly confused by the payment but just shrugs and takes the items. He gives Asra a pint of beer, a tall glass of a colorful, icy drink and a paper with a number.
He comes back to the table and sets the pint in front of Portia "Here you go~" He smirks and sits down, taking a sip of his own drink.
Portia looks relieved to not have to worry about ordering anything herself, taking the mug in her hand and taking a few hearty gulps.
The froth from the beer sits on her upper lip as she exhales, setting the mug back on the table. "Ah, man. I haven't had a beer in ages. Especially not a cold one." She glances at the paper on the table but pays it no mind, not able to figure out what was written on it. She looked around the place again, taking in the different faces in the crowd. Looked like a very steadily busy place.
"So what brought you to Vesuvia? You said you were working in that magician's shop?..." She held the cold mug in both her hands, finding comfort compared to the heat outside.
Asra looks at her foam-moustache and lets out a giggle, handing her a napkin. He fidgets with the cup's rim while he looks at the bubbles rise to the top. They look up when Portia speaks up.
"Oh well, I've always lived here. I always have done some magic tricks here and there to earn something to eat but never had anything steady. Until I happened to set up my reading table in the back of that shop." They take a sip of their drink and continue. " They didn't really like me stealing clients, but after I pitched them a fortune reading job in exchange of food they let me work there."He smirks and rests their chin on their hand.
She takes the napkin and wipes her face, and sets her mug back down to listen. "Oh! I suppose I absolutely found the right person struggling with boxes to help, then. I've struck gold with a local!" She folded her hands on the table.
"I'll hopefully be starting work in the palace soon, but before then, I'd love to see all the cool parts of this city that I can see in my down time." She regarded the individual across from her fondly. "I'll have to visit for a reading sometime once I've got the coin to pay you proper, and as well treat you to a meal as well!"
Shenwouldn't accept no for an answer on that last part, at least.
Asra laughs softly, covering his mouth partially. His eyes crinkle as he smiles at her "And I am very lucky to have found a new person to enjoy the city with! My only friend doesn't really enjoy being in the city so it can get kind of lonely."
He straightens his back and crosses his arms on the table leaning slightly forward. " I'm glad you are willing to spend your free time with little ol'me." Asra smirks and perks up at the last comment. They pull out their deck and starts shuffling it with grace " We could do one before the show starts, if you don't mind the public setting."
