The name's Calvin. I'm Jonathan Crane's nephew and Joanna Crane's son. I swear I'm not a criminal. Well, at least I don't think I am. He knocked on the door. “Zelda? What are you doing?”

❝Heyyyy, Calvin.  I was just-you know.. I wasn’t expecting you to come over. Not that I’m complaining or anything.❞

Iris nodded and tucked the book under her arm. “Yeah, there’s a little shop just down the street if you don’t mind walking.”

Oblivious. That you can clearly hear her, enthusiastically singing in her bedroom.  ❝I’m just a moooment, so don’t let me pass you byyyy!❞

He knocked on the door. "Zelda? What are you doing?"

She looked expasperated but smiled at him.

"I need food, booze, and a good movie  to forget how badI did on that damn pop quiz " she groaned.

Cassie gave him an excited grin.

"So movie then dinner?" she asked, "Oh and can we take your car?"

"Sure, no problem."

Cassie smiled, following him to his car.

"So how was your day?" she asked, " Mine was too damn long and overwhelming but atleast I made a friend "

"It was kinda slow and boring. But I'm glad I made a friend too."

"I know this is sort of off the wall but would you like to maybe get a cup of coffee or something? I don’t get to talk literary with a lot of people." That sounded awkward but it was true, the only other person she talked to was her brother and they never agreed on books. 

"Uh, sure. T-That sounds nice." He smiled slightly.

Iris smiled and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. “Great, umm good… okay.” She laughed softly.

Calvin looked at his book cover. “Oh, yea I know. I’m actually reading the series again. It’s one of my favorites.”

"Cool, I am in room 213. Cargey Hall" She checked her phone, " Come by around 3 so we can catch the matinee?"

Cassie smilied, giving him a quick hug.

Calvin hesitantly hugged her back. “Y-You should get to class it’s started soon.”

"Oh shit, Yeah" she rushed off at faster speed than most girls her age.

At three o'clock, Calvin stood in front of Cassie's classroom.

“It’s nice to meet you Calvin.” She smiled at him and held the book up like she was going to say something but dropped it. “Umm I should let you be so you can read. Oh, that is a really great book, the second is better but… umm right I’ll stop rambling now…”

Iris smiled softly and shrank away from the boy. “Sorry, umm the book behind you actually…. Please.”

"Oh. Oh! Okay." Calvin moved out of the way so she could get the book. "Sorry."

“Thanks. No I’m sorry. I always get distracted when I go in the fiction section.” Iris laughed and shook her head softly. “I’m Iris by the way.”

Calvin was caught in the rain, again. So he ran to some random place for cover. He immediately felt he had intruded into someone’s home. “Hello?” Calvin called out, hoping for an answer.

Ivy watched whoever had just run into her home. She crossed her arms over her chest and walked around the corner on the catwalk looking down at the teen boy. “Hello.” She answered back simply.

He looked up at the voice. "I-I'm sorry for intruding." Calvin apologized. "Is it alright if I stay here until the rain stops?"
