"My name is Coda, and I am a researcher. I am Colress' assistant, with our research dedicated in studying the relationship between humans and pokémon and how it affects said pokémon's potential."

They could see their own blood on the floor, and stains on their lab coat, their glasses left askew, as they hear his thundering footsteps retreat from their weak, collapsed figure. They could barely remember. What did they do...? What did they do to deserve this...?)

(They could hear a voice. A familiar voice.)

"Coda...?"

(It's his voice.... Before Coda could fully process anything else, they black out.)

“I fear I may have hit a roadblock in my research…”

(Coda enters the room. They tilt their head slightly as they look at Colress with slight concern.)

Attempting to plan a vacation with Colress is a logistical nightmare. He’s banned from several regions, is on a no-fly list…

and just when I thought I had found a suitable location for a get-away we cannot travel there either— because apparently, in that region, there’s an entire cult that wants him dead. How silly of me for not anticipating such a thing!! 💢💢

Humphhhh.

The things I put up with.

"I, for one have a simple solution."

(Coda takes something out of their cardigan pocket and places it on a table. It looks like some kind of vial containing a substance..? Wait, what is this?)

(He’s squinting at it suspiciously).

And just what am I meant to do with this?

"This is insulin. I had recently purchased this on the black market. I had hidden and erased all virtual traces during and after my purchase. It took a sizeable percentage from my savings..." 💧

(Wait, where are they going with this????)

(He’s crossed his arms, tapping his fingers impatiently).

And? Get to your point.

"So, I have been planning to travel to Unova specifically use the vial of insulin on the leader of the quote-unquote "cult" you have mentioned. I will track him down, enter his place of residence at midnight, inject it under his tongue to terminate him. Then, I will take his lifeless corpse into a remote area and bury it. I will put the corpse in that hole, bury him halfway and drop in a pokémon cadaver on the soil and completely bury it, and quietly return to Alola."

"If he so happened to be found and an autopsy was to be conducted, those who would potentially investigate for foul play would assume that he died from an undiagnosed case of diabetes."

(Of course, Coda was talking about murdering Ghetsis. Their poker face darkens as they discuss their assasination plan.)

(As Coda talks, Faba’s expression slowly goes from skeptical, to deeply disturbed).

….. Did you really have to go into such detail?

(He shudders—)

Just a “I’m planning to assassinate him” would have sufficed…

"With this particular "cult", its goals revolve around its leader. If the leader is deceased, then the organisation would collapse. A rather underwhelming end, in my opinion. I would've preferred to mentally torture him with Gothitelle's abilities, but that would draw too much attention onto me."

"If my plan is complete, then maybe that would cease the constant nightmares that plague me almost every night."

(A tiny slip of vulnerability can be seen in Coda, before being quickly concealed again with a blank face. Their amber yellow eyes dim a little.)
