The swordswoman smiled, “I suppose it is.”  She had the bounty poster of her old rival in her bag, but decided that she’d rather have a conversation with her first before asking about Zoro’s whereabouts.  

“You’re the archaeologist for the Straw Hats, right?  They sound like an exciting group of people.”  Kuina grinned, having kept up with the news of the crew’s activities.

When the other mentioned her crew, she answered carefully. “Yes, my name is Nico Robin.” She didn’t know this girl, but she resembled a certain marine captain which made wary, very wary. Who was this girl who was wondering about her crew? “We have our adventures and exploits just as any other pirate crew would.” Dropping her smile, she leaned into her with narrowed eyes. “Tell me, are perhaps related to Captain Tashigi of G-5?”

“Robin~!” Unable to stop herself Koala launched herself at Robin hugging her tightly. “Yeah I got a new mission but I never thought I’d be meeting up with you along the way!”

Hugging the girl back, Robin giggled at her reaction and put her left hand on the girl’s hat. “I didn’t think i’d be seeing you so soon after Dressrosa either to be honest.”

“Regardless, i’m glad to see you again.”

"I'm curious, are you related to Red Haired perhaps?"

“Related? ..Me?”

“AbsoLUTELY not! I wish I never even met him!”

Robin giggled, before shaking her head in amusement. “I see. Is Red Haired really that bad? He has quite a good relationship with Luffy, my captain practically worships him. Fufufufufu~!”

She closed her eyes and tilted her head. “History is nearly always written by the winners, though it doesn’t mean that all history was rewritten. What i’m curious about is what happened during the Void Century, or is it alright in your opinion for history to repeat itself?”

“You might not care what happened to the history of yesterday, but how would you feel if yesterday’s tragedy was tomorrow’s future?”

He couldn’t tell her he knew of what happened, but not everything. He just knew what every child from where he was born was taught and this made him shut his mouth when she mentioned it and he only said one unusual thing.

“Nothing of interest occurred then, it’s all just horror stories you tell your kids to keep them from acting out.”this wasn’t true for her and non Celestial noble children though; as no one told their kids the stories of the void century, only certain kids learned those tales.

She sighed as she took a deep breath and looked up into the man’s eyes. “I am the sole survivor of Ohara, I had a bounty of seventy nine million and the epithet of Devil Child placed onto myself at the age of eight for the sole reason of being a scholar of Ohara who could read Rio Poneglyphs.” She could never forget how she was hunted since she was a child and the life she lived. “I have also read countless Poneglyphs on my journey, in which I have been even hunted down by CP9.” She frowned as she furrowed her eyebrows. “The only reason that the World Government would go this far to cover the real history is because they’re scared of the truth coming out.”

“Which leads me to my conclusion that the World Government will once again attempt to make a Void Century against those who have the Will of D and their allies. The D’s have been shown in the newspaper far too much in the past three years since the time of the one hundred year void.”

Ace looked up at the woman, tilting his head to the side as he tried to place her as there was something oddly familiar about her but he wasn’t sure what, all he was sure of was that she was part of Luffy’s crew, and that made her alright by him. “Luffy talks about me, eh?” Ace asked with a small smile crossing his lips as he thought of his little brother, he then bowed to her. “Thank you, for taking such good care of him for me, I know he can be a handful so I appreciate you watching his back.”

Robin giggled as she took a good look at him. “Yes, quite a lot, actually. You’re the unbeatable big brother that Luffy loves so much and who he swears up and down he could beat in a fight now.” It was endearing how much Luffy loved his brother. She was happy that her captain had someone he loved even more than his crew, that was the way it should be. “No, it’s alright, it’s the least I do after he saved my life. I’m happy to watch over him on his journey to become Pirate King.” She would gladly lay down her life if it meant saving her captain, because that’s what her captain was willing to do. “He’s an inspirational person, i’m glad he’s my captain.”

“Look lady, I don’t care about the history of twenty douches that decided to over throw the previous arc of government, slaughter any who  opposed them and made history in their own biased image.” He pauses for a moment.

“Nor do I care about the prophecies and legends written on those stones from the point of view of mundane people.”
