Wonder momentarily swirled in rich sepia hues as the other pulled that notebook out again, flipping through it with almost professional ease. She must have been at this for quite sometime. Barely had Mi-Cha noticed she was speaking again until her pen had ceased to scritch along the paper. Lost she was through the explanation of MC’s addition to the Host Club, and assurance that the girl would be charming. Only when the attractive young woman mentioned a waiting list had she snapped back into reality. She needed to stop letting herself drift off like that.
It had taken a moment to sink in, but she shook her head. “Oh, no… I don’t mind at all.” An hour’s wait… She wondered what to do. Though, she didn’t have to wonder long, as the other moved closer to her. A hushed voice, as if being told the wait alone would be boring was going to land them in some kind of trouble…
Perhaps she’d suggested the wrong type?
“..Mi-Cha,” Her name felt like it had been charmed from her, and to the suggestion of taking their conversation elsewhere, Mi-Cha nodded. “And.. Sure, I’d love to.”
“ mi-cha ? ” the name formed into an unintentional question, jaehee finding herself smiling at the interesting coincidence. “ if i recall correctly, the meaning of the name is beautiful girl. ” she introduced herself as jaehee kang as she led mi-cha to the lavishly decorated center of the room.
the host club around them was bustling with activity, the room filled with loud chatter from all directions. a few clicking cups against saucers could be heard here and there, bursts of laughter exploding every once in a while. jaehee couldn’t help but breathe out a silent sigh of satisfaction. everything seemed to be running smoothly with no unexpected turn ups.
she could only be thankful that mi-cha had decided to come on one of their more busy days, it would be a great first impression.
