I adore Serge Durandal, so gonna just answer all of these for him…
Spiders: lets them stay inside, they promised him they won’t hurt anyone.
The dark: definitely had a nightlight. Still sometimes sleeps with a nightlight (probably one of his many plushies he enchanted to give off a nice soft glow), much to Klaus’ frustration.
Snakes: has a very rational dislike for snakes, but still wouldn’t hurt them. Other exotic pets are not off limits, but prefers cute ones.
Blood: has nearly killed himself many times, mostly accidentally.
Clowns: LOVES clowns, the funny ones, not the IT type ones.
Mirrors: absolutely not self conscious at all, but I feel like sometimes he may have an issue with his ears, they stick out a bit.
Tight space: constantly feels like he’s not living up to what’s expected of him, but does not give any fucks.
Closet monsters: hahahahhahaha only his true identity.
Crowds: gets very excited in big cities being somewhere new (or even one he’s been to before) with so many things to see and do and explore. Will head straight for the giant candy store.
Death: Randy, or his grandma. Hard choice. Probably Randy, because he died too young, and his grandma had a full life.
Ghosts: he’s seen many things he couldn’t explain at first, but did a bit of a Scooby doo and figured it all out.
Needles: quietly terrified of needles, takes at least seven different stuffed toys with him when he had to get a shot.
Curses: luck maybe not, karma probably, there is some very primitive magic in the power of karma, but definitely believes in curses.
Heights: definite risk taker, but calculated risk (don’t worry Taffy, it’ll be fine), even if he hasn’t factored everything in.
Solitude: Taffy, Candy, Liz/MC.
Fire: probably would rather heat, because he has no body fat to keep him warm.
Failure: never. Even if it takes him 100 years.
Abandonment: probably by annoying them with apologies until they forgave him. Would probably create some crazy invention to fix what he messed up in the first place.
The unknown: somewhat philosophical, thinking about life the universe and everything gives him ideas for new inventions.
Boogeyman: flat on his back if it’s hot or curled up in the foetal position surrounded by stuffed animals if it’s cold.
Falling: has never fallen in love before (before Liz/MC). It’s intriguing, and he enjoys the new experience.
Change: I’d say his grandma’s death was pretty poignant. It made him realise that magic can’t do everything.
Disease: will come up with a new potion to get better, and nearly die when it doesn’t work. Liz/MC will end up using a healing spell to make him better.
Number 13: yes, but also knows all the counterspells to remove the effects of the superstition. (Broke a mirror? Use this spell to remove the bad luck curse)
Noise: nails on a chalkboard. When Klaus found this out he used it to no end (despite also hating it)
Insects: very annoyed by up-tight workaholics who don’t appreciate the joys of life.
Dolls: collects stuffed animals - this is not even headcanon, this is just canon.
Getting old: 50 years loved, definitely.
Social phobia: naturally 100% social butterfly. Was friends with everyone the first time he was at the academy. Things changed after Randy’s incident though. Assuming Randy’s name, he’s still pretty out there, he just can’t help but make friends.
