Asexuals are one of the most dehumanized and hated groups in the LGBTQIA+ community. They’re hated by heterosexuals and LGBTQIA+ people.

People are less likely to want to be around/hire/rent an apartment to an asexual person.

Asexuals are often seen as machines or animals.

Many asexuals are raped so they can be “fixed”.

Even people in the medical field think asexuals are broken.

Asexuals. Are. Not. Better. Off. Than. The. Rest. Of. Us.

Stop making this into a competition and stop invalidating their experiences and problems.

When Sara’s singing about laying in bed with a pile of books between her and her girlfriend, that hurts. Whereas I’m like, Screw you- I’ve got all the teenagers in the audience with songs like Nineteen, Hop A Plane, Speak Slow. But Floorplan comes on and Sara’s singing about wanting her partner’s lungs to stop working without her, and that’s where the depth in our music is really at.
