No matter how bad your fight may get, they’ll always rebuild.” Sailor Astarte waves her hand towards the crater, causing it be mostly filled in. Just a little smoothing at the top will be needed. “But sometimes, it’s good to give that rebuilding a head start.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you by the way.” Sailor Astarte lets her sailor uniform fade back into her original dress. “My name is Sheba Shingetsu Astarte. What is your name?”

𝓚elsey’s face lit up when she saw the heroine fill in the crater for most of it. Though not visable underneath, she was sure to make her emotions clear with her actions. Stretching her finger tips out and lowering her hands slightly and outwards to her sides after they were initially curled slightly and close to her chest, she eventually spoke. “Wow! that’s so cool! We could totally use something like that on our Ranger team.” When the young woman introduced herself, Kelsey powered down from her Ranger uniform into her casual attire, equipped with her Ranger coat like always. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.” She then stretched out her hand toward the other. “I’m Kelsey Winslow. Lightspeed Rescue Yellow Ranger.”

“If your team is as good as you, then this city is well cared for.” Sheba hands over her business card. “And if you ever see part of your city absorbed into an interdimensional book, give me a call, all right?”

“I was looking into some old texts in Wonder World. One of these mentions ‘A princess whose inner beast shall be calmed by the presence of a goddess.’ I’m pretty sure that refers to you and me, especially since my Wonder Ridebook also calls me a goddess.”

The passageway opens up, with the stone door turning into three circular channels that rotate into each other like massive gears, before sliding backwards into the shadows.

“Well, let’s go in there, my minotaur friend.” Sheba gently nudges Thesia ahead of her.

“A-All right...” she said quietly, stepping forward. Sweat went down her face as she prayed silently to any and all gods that being a Minotaur Megiddo would actually be worth something, especially in a labyrinth.

As they enter, torches light up on either side of the wall. “Mark the wall here with the paint, please.” Sheba says. “We need to remember this is where we came in. Even if there’s only supposed to be one exit to the Labyrinth, we’re not planning to explore it all today.”

She takes a step forward and a single arrow fires, missing her ankle by an inch. But there’s a grinding from the walls and Sheba bends down to look at it. “The other arrows are so rotted in those holes, that there’s nothing to fire.”

“R-Right!” She did so, painting the symbol on the wall, before yelping in surprise at the arrow.

“W-Wow... talk about a lucky break...” she said quietly after Sheba’s revelation. “Hopefully there’s other broken-down things... I kinda doubt that, though...”

“It all depends on the age of the traps and when they were added to the Labyrinth. Cover your ears for a moment, please.” Sheba turns her choral mask shoulder guard towards the hallway, and sends a sonic burst down the path to trigger any other traps that might be in this room. Four more traps activate and quickly stop.

She did so, eyes widened. “F-Four of them... how are we supposed to go around that?”

“I believe that the Minotaur had special doors in the maze that allowed it to get around the traps. Let’s see if we can find something like that for you. You were able to open the door, after all.”

“Good point... I just hope that I can find them...” she said, starting to feel for any kind of strange door.

After a little pushing, Thesia finds a small door, big enough for her to pass through, but far too short for Sheba to pass through. “Go on through, and see if you can find controls to disconnect the traps.”

Thesis couldn’t help but find it weird that the door was exactly her size. She was a Minotaur, but she didn’t think she was the Minotaur. Despite that, she decided to open the door and see what she could find.

Meanwhile, Sheba is calculating. She knows where those traps were, and with a good enough running start...

She takes two steps back and breaks into a run towards the other side of the hall. But before she reaches the area where the traps were, she instead leaps towards the wall and runs along it, coming down after four long strides on the other side.

“If only Haruhi could have seen that.” Sheba says, smiling. She lightly knocks on the wall. “I’m on the other side of the traps, Thesia. If you can find some shortcuts, let me know, all right?”

Thesia’s eyes widened, hearing the running on the wall and thinking it was a trap. “Oh, n-...U-uh... yeah, all right...I-I’ll see what I can do...” She said quietly from the other side, starting to feel the doors

One door opens, depositing Thesia right into Sheba’s arms. “All right. Let’s keep moving forward. Did you find any clues that might guide us through the maze a bit better?”

“Red and I did not part on good terms.” Sailor Astarte answers. “I do hope he has calmed down recently. It was so hard to hold a conversation with him in the old days.” She steps back from Blue. “You’ll be fine. Have a good day, old friend.”

“The same to you. Farewell, ladies. Farewell, Astarte.” Blue vanishes into the mirror and Astarte walks over to the Pretty Cure.

“I believe you were shopping before that monster appeared. I will keep watch over this part of the city to make sure its creator doesn’t return. You should get back to your shopping, if you can.” She gives them each a bright smile. “If you are the ones he has chosen, this city is definitely in good hands.”

“We were just about to do that! I haven’t picked out the perfect fall outfit yet!” Cure Princess said, her priorities clear.

“It was nice meeting you, Sailor Astarte,” Cure Swan said, smiling. “Hopefully our next meeting will be under better circumstances.”

It was then that Seiji chose to return. He looked none the worse for wear despite guiding a bunch of civilians to safety while fending off Choiarks on the way. He looked to Astarte and back to the Happiness Charge Precure.

“Is that another new friend?” He asked. His gaze was mostly on Cure Lovely and Cure Swan.

“I am one of the Sailor Senshi. It is a pleasure to meet you young man. Though I do not envy your position in the next five minutes. How many bags do you think you will be carrying by the end of the day?” She gives him a smile and waves her hand, giving him a divine boost of energy to get through the day.

“Now, everyone, have a wonderful day. Perhaps next time, I can tell you my whole story.” Sheba prepares to leave the scene and take to the rooftops.

Her eyes widened. “Y-You’re... serious?! Wow... me, in a prophecy! What are the odds?” She giggled.

“Here, I’ve transcribed it for you. This is a prophecy from almost a thousand years ago.” Sheba sets the document on the table and starts reading.

“’When the princess meets the lost goddess, the beast inside her shall be quieted. When the goddess leads the princess through the maze, the princess’ true form shall be revealed. When the goddess and the princess stand together, a light will shine that will open the door to the future.’”

Her eyes were widened in surprise, before gulping and steeling her expression. “S-So... is this maze a real place?”

“There are many mazes in the human world. Hedge mazes, Corn mazes, stone mazes, even haunted house attractions count as mazes. However, if we want to find the maze from the prophecy, we should look for mazes or remnants of mazes that the Megiddo have tried to capture more than once.” Sheba answers. “If there was some sort of record of the places in the human world where the Megiddo have attacked, we could narrow down the search.”

“...Yeah, but where do you think it could be? The Sword of Logos’ arctic base? I’ve been there once, I don’t think they’d want to see me again.”

“I have some disagreements with the Swords, so I don’t believe we’ll be going there. However, I have heard from a local source that there is someone in Fuuto City who is ‘connected to the World’s Bookshelves’ whatever that means. This person may be able to do the research for us.” Sheba offers her hand to Thesia. “Are you up for an adventure, princess?”

She looked hesitant at first, as if she didn’t believe that the “World’s Bookshelves” existed, but after a few moments, she took her hand. “I am.”

“All right. Brace yourself, I’m going to transform and call for my vehicle.” She calls for her Seiken Swordriver and quickly plugs in the books for her Lost Songs before drawing the blade.

As soon as she’s in the gold and crimson armor, Sheba plugs in her book to summon Lost Daedalus. The turbine powered wingsuit appears on her back and she offers Thesia a three point harness to keep her from falling out. “Hold on tight, we’re going to be moving so fast, even sound can’t catch up to us.”

She stared in both awe and shock when she saw the wingsuit. She had no clue that Wonder Ride Books could do such a thing! Maybe someday she could find one of her own- that would be really convenient...

“Oh! Oh... all right.” She said with a small gulp, putting on the harness and getting herself settled.

With a roar of the turbines, Lost Daedalus takes to the sky, and the goddess and princess meet the clouds head on.

It takes no more than ten minutes to bridge the gap between Tokyo and Fuuto at these speeds, but the energy barrier Lost Daedalus creates prevents either of them from getting their hair or outfits messed up.

Settling behind the pool hall, Sheba unhooks Thesia and cancels her transformation. Daedalus disappears into the aether and that leaves the two of them to enter Narumi Detective Agency.

“Are you all right, Thesia? Has the adrenaline of the flight died down yet?”

She stumbled a bit, but fortunately, she didn’t collapse completely on the floor. She breathed heavily for a few moments, but quickly regained her composure. “I... I think so, yeah. I’m fine, I’m fine.” She said quickly, before looking up at the building. “A detective agency...? I guess that’s a good place to have special bookshelves...”

“Follow me inside.” Sheba holds open the door so Thesia can enter with her. Inside, the detective agency looks like it was frozen in time, in an era that ended decades before. A young man in a green sleeveless top with butterfly clips in his hair has just finished listening to the radio.

“Welcome to the Narumi Detective Agency. I’m Philip. Shoutarou is on a case right now.” Philip grins at Thesia, the way an older brother would to a little sister.

“Well, you’re the one I want to see, actually.” Sheba says. “My name is Sheba Shingetsu Astarte, and you and I have a mutual friend, in Kisaragi Gentaro.”

Philip chuckles. “It would be more shocking if you didn’t share him as a mutual friend. I take it that means he told you about my special ability. I would appreciate it if you didn’t tell anyone else what you’re about to see. Follow me, please.”

Philip leads the two ladies through the door into the Hardboilder’s garage. He takes a single book in his hand and opens up his mind to the Earth’s Bookshelves. “All right. What keywords shall we start with?”

Thesia is mostly silent through the interaction, looking around the room with a odd sense of wonder. It all was so different from what she was used to, she was barely paying attention, until they moved into the garage.

It’s when he actually accessed the bookshelves that she really began paying attention. She swore, she saw faint images of said bookshelves, stretching out from the room into the Aether. “Uh... keywords? Hmm... maybe... maze? Or...” she gulped. “Labyrinth?”!

“Yes. Labyrinth as the first keyword.” Sheba confirms. Philip holds out his arm and the bookshelves dwindle in number.

“Still too many results. What’s the next keyword?” Philip asks.

“Megiddo.” Sheba answers. And once again, Philip narrows down the search results.

“I am getting closer.” Philip confirms. “Are you looking for a location?”

“Yes we are. Use the keyword ‘Entrance.’“

Inside the Earth’s Bookshelves, Philip’s hand finds a single book and he starts flipping through it. Once he finds his answer, he smiles and emerges, writing “ Ota Sasazuka Ishigaki Ruins “ on the blackboard.

“In order to access the entrance to this labyrinth, you need to enter the ruins at high noon.” Philip says. “It’s quite fascinating how many ancient legends have a grounding in reality.”

Sheba checks her phone. “According to this, high noon at the ruins will be at 12:20 today. We still have a few hours before we need to be there, Thesia.” She kneels down to the princess’ height. “Are you certain you want to keep tugging this thread?”

“...I am.” She nodded. “If the prophecy says that’s where I need to go, then that’s where I’m going. Anything to prove to myself that I’m worthy...” She said the last part quieter.

“If you two are going into a labyrinth today, may I suggest a slightly more modern method of tracking your progress than a bundle of twine?” Philip says. “Down the street from here by a block and a half is a craft supply shop. You can buy black light reactive paint and miniature black lights there.”

“That’s very helpful. Thank you, Philip.” Sheba offers her hand to Thesia again.

Thesia did seem a little pouty when he mentioned “more modern” ways of navigating a labyrinth, but it wasn’t severe. “Um... yeah, thanks.” She said, taking Sheba’s hand again.

“If you see Gentaro before I do, tell him that Shoutarou is wrong. He’ll know what I’m talking about.” Philip smiles as his DoubleDriver appears around his waist. “Oh, looks like Shoutarou needs me. Have a good day, ladies.” Philip ushers them towards the door before taking out his Cyclone memory.

“All right, Thesia. Let’s go gather supplies for the trip. We’ll need food, water, those paints Philip was talking about, and flashlights.” Sheba says, closing the garage door behind them.

“E-Eh?” Thesia looked confused as the red belt appeared around his waist. It didn’t look like any driver she had seen before... what was it? She also managed to catch a faint glimpse of a tiny green stick in Phillip’s hand- what was that?

“W-Well, sure, but... what was that red thing around his waist? And who’s Gentaro? Someone I should know?”

“There are some mysteries that are best left for another time. ”Sheba says. “Gentaro is a young man who is driven by friendship and a boundless desire to improve the lives of people he calls friends. Your life would definitely be improved by him playing even a small part in it.” Sheba leads Thesia down to the stores. She causes a bit of consternation when she pays for her purchases in gold coins, but soon they’re stocked up.

“Before we head to the labyrinth, let’s agree on a symbol. Something we can paint on the wall in level sections at your eye level. If this symbol moves up or down from that point, we’ll know the walls are moving up and down. It also needs to be a unique symbol. Something that we would know if it was turned around. Any ideas?”

“Huh...” she said softly once Sheba finished her explaination on who he was. Maybe, meeting him would help the Knights further their ultimate goal? After landing near the entrance to the ruins, Sheba waits a few moments for the sun to reach its zenith before moving near the largest of the standing stone. “Place your hands on the stone, please, Thesia. Perhaps the Minotaur is the key to opening the door.”

Her eyes widened. “Y-You’re... serious?! Wow... me, in a prophecy! What are the odds?” She giggled.

“Here, I’ve transcribed it for you. This is a prophecy from almost a thousand years ago.” Sheba sets the document on the table and starts reading.

“’When the princess meets the lost goddess, the beast inside her shall be quieted. When the goddess leads the princess through the maze, the princess’ true form shall be revealed. When the goddess and the princess stand together, a light will shine that will open the door to the future.’”

Her eyes were widened in surprise, before gulping and steeling her expression. “S-So... is this maze a real place?”

“There are many mazes in the human world. Hedge mazes, Corn mazes, stone mazes, even haunted house attractions count as mazes. However, if we want to find the maze from the prophecy, we should look for mazes or remnants of mazes that the Megiddo have tried to capture more than once.” Sheba answers. “If there was some sort of record of the places in the human world where the Megiddo have attacked, we could narrow down the search.”

“I have some disagreements with the Swords, so I don’t believe we’ll be going there. This person may be able to do the research for us.” Sheba offers her hand to Thesia. “Are you up for an adventure, princess?”

“All right. Brace yourself, I’m going to transform and call for my vehicle.” She calls for her Seiken Swordriver and quickly plugs in the books for her Lost Songs before drawing the blade.

As soon as she’s in the gold and crimson armor, Sheba plugs in her book to summon Lost Daedalus. The turbine powered wingsuit appears on her back and she offers Thesia a three point harness to keep her from falling out. “Hold on tight, we’re going to be moving so fast, even sound can’t catch up to us.”

She stared in both awe and shock when she saw the wingsuit. She had no clue that Wonder Ride Books could do such a thing! Maybe someday she could find one of her own- that would be really convenient...

“Oh! Oh... all right.” She said with a small gulp, putting on the harness and getting herself settled.

With a roar of the turbines, Lost Daedalus takes to the sky, and the goddess and princess meet the clouds head on.

It takes no more than ten minutes to bridge the gap between Tokyo and Fuuto at these speeds, but the energy barrier Lost Daedalus creates prevents either of them from getting their hair or outfits messed up.

Settling behind the pool hall, Sheba unhooks Thesia and cancels her transformation. Daedalus disappears into the aether and that leaves the two of them to enter Narumi Detective Agency.

“Are you all right, Thesia? Has the adrenaline of the flight died down yet?”

I’m fine, I’m fine.” She said quickly, before looking up at the building. “A detective agency...? I guess that’s a good place to have special bookshelves...”

“Follow me inside.” Sheba holds open the door so Thesia can enter with her. Inside, the detective agency looks like it was frozen in time, in an era that ended decades before. A young man in a green sleeveless top with butterfly clips in his hair has just finished listening to the radio.

“Welcome to the Narumi Detective Agency. I’m Philip. Shoutarou is on a case right now.” Philip grins at Thesia, the way an older brother would to a little sister.

“Well, you’re the one I want to see, actually.” Sheba says. “My name is Sheba Shingetsu Astarte, and you and I have a mutual friend, in Kisaragi Gentaro.”

Philip chuckles. “It would be more shocking if you didn’t share him as a mutual friend. I take it that means he told you about my special ability. I would appreciate it if you didn’t tell anyone else what you’re about to see. Follow me, please.”

Philip leads the two ladies through the door into the Hardboilder’s garage. He takes a single book in his hand and opens up his mind to the Earth’s Bookshelves. “All right. What keywords shall we start with?”

It’s when he actually accessed the bookshelves that she really began paying attention. She swore, she saw faint images of said bookshelves, stretching out from the room into the Aether. “Uh... keywords? Hmm... maybe... maze? Or...” she gulped. “Labyrinth?”!

“Yes. Labyrinth as the first keyword.” Sheba confirms. Philip holds out his arm and the bookshelves dwindle in number.

“Still too many results. What’s the next keyword?” Philip asks.

“Megiddo.” Sheba answers. And once again, Philip narrows down the search results.

“I am getting closer.” Philip confirms. “Are you looking for a location?”

“Yes we are. Use the keyword ‘Entrance.’“

Inside the Earth’s Bookshelves, Philip’s hand finds a single book and he starts flipping through it. Once he finds his answer, he smiles and emerges, writing “ Ota Sasazuka Ishigaki Ruins “ on the blackboard.

“In order to access the entrance to this labyrinth, you need to enter the ruins at high noon.” Philip says. “It’s quite fascinating how many ancient legends have a grounding in reality.”

Sheba checks her phone. “According to this, high noon at the ruins will be at 12:20 today. We still have a few hours before we need to be there, Thesia.” She kneels down to the princess’ height. “Are you certain you want to keep tugging this thread?”

You can buy black light reactive paint and miniature black lights there.”

“If you see Gentaro before I do, tell him that Shoutarou is wrong. He’ll know what I’m talking about.” Philip smiles as his DoubleDriver appears around his waist. “Oh, looks like Shoutarou needs me. Have a good day, ladies.” Philip ushers them towards the door before taking out his Cyclone memory.

“All right, Thesia. Let’s go gather supplies for the trip. We’ll need food, water, those paints Philip was talking about, and flashlights.” Sheba says, closing the garage door behind them.

“W-Well, sure, but... what was that red thing around his waist? And who’s Gentaro? Someone I should know?”

“There are some mysteries that are best left for another time. ”Sheba says. “Gentaro is a young man who is driven by friendship and a boundless desire to improve the lives of people he calls friends. Your life would definitely be improved by him playing even a small part in it.” Sheba leads Thesia down to the stores. She causes a bit of consternation when she pays for her purchases in gold coins, but soon they’re stocked up.

“Before we head to the labyrinth, let’s agree on a symbol. Something we can paint on the wall in level sections at your eye level. If this symbol moves up or down from that point, we’ll know the walls are moving up and down. It also needs to be a unique symbol. Something that we would know if it was turned around. Any ideas?”

The force of the divinely assisted leap drives the demon down into a crater in the street, preventing any cameras that might be around from seeing Kelsey’s spear go right through the face and two inches into the ground.

The demon mutters a curse at Kelsey and Sheba as its body dissolves like a chocolate bar exposed to sulfuric acid.

Sailor Astarte wrinkles her nose at the stench. One advantage a Power Ranger must have is some kind of filter built into their helmets.

“I don’t think that one will be coming back for a while.” She leaps up to the edge of the crater and offers a hand to lift Kelsey out.

𝓡aising her hand, Kelsey touched a finger to the side of her helmet and her visor raised to expose her face and respirator that was hidden underneath. She then made her way over toward the crater that was a result of the fight and now had a molten remains of a demon in the middle of it. “I don’t think so either.” She said rather confidently. Turning to her new friend, Kelsey extended her hand out in return to shake the woman’s offered hand in return. “I’ll call Lightspeed and get them to come take care of this mess… I’m sure I could help out with rebuilding the road as well… Kinda feel bad some fights destroy the city.” She added, raising her hand that was being shook to the back of her helmet in an apologetic gesture.

“That’s a good thing about humanity. They’ll always rebuild. No matter how bad your fight may get, they’ll always rebuild.” Sailor Astarte waves her hand towards the crater, causing it be mostly filled in. Just a little smoothing at the top will be needed. “But sometimes, it’s good to give that rebuilding a head start.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you by the way.” Sailor Astarte lets her sailor uniform fade back into her original dress. “My name is Sheba Shingetsu Astarte. What is your name?”

Sheba is around the corner from their position, and as Sora comes around, the young boy will see Sailor Astarte fighting against a monster that doesn’t look like any kind of Megiddo. It’s a large green humanoid insect that seems to be hunched over inside its own cocoon.

When the Worm sees Sora, it tries to move towards the boy, only for Sailor Astarte’s arm to block its progress. She casually throws the Worm into the brick wall behind it.

“Sorry, Worm. Child is not on your menu today.”

“Sora!” Ryo goes to grab his son. “This is why I said don’t run off! Eh?” he sees this monster. “What is that? That’s definitely not a Meggido. We’re not even in Wonder World...”

“What you see before you...” She stops and notices the massive blade he’s carrying. “What you see before you, Sword of Logos, is a Worm. It is a shapeshifting alien that lured a man to this alley, and would have killed him if I had not intervened.”

Ryo sets the wonder ride book into his sword. “Henshin!” Genbu Shinwa! He transforms into his rider form. “Haaa!” He jump slashes the worm.

The Worm is not having a good day. First it gets attacked by a Sailor Senshi, and then by a man with a big sword. And there really isn’t anywhere it can to dodge the sword. The Dogoken Gekido cleaves down through the Worm’s shoulder, keeping it from moving away from the two heroes.

“End it quickly. If that worm molts, we’ll never be able to catch it!”

“You don’t have to tell me twice!” he puts in another book Jakkun Domamenoki! Dogon! Kaishin no Gekido Randokugeki! Dogon! “Grand Revolution!” Buster swings his sword upwards, causing a beanstalk to erupt out of the ground and hit the worm

“Follow me inside.” Sheba holds open the door so Thesia can enter with her. Inside, the detective agency looks like it was frozen in time, in an era that ended decades before. A young man in a green sleeveless top with butterfly clips in his hair has just finished listening to the radio.

“Welcome to the Narumi Detective Agency. I’m Philip. Shoutarou is on a case right now.” Philip grins at Thesia, the way an older brother would to a little sister.

“Well, you’re the one I want to see, actually.” Sheba says. “My name is Sheba Shingetsu Astarte, and you and I have a mutual friend, in Kisaragi Gentaro.”

Philip chuckles. “It would be more shocking if you didn’t share him as a mutual friend. I take it that means he told you about my special ability. I would appreciate it if you didn’t tell anyone else what you’re about to see. Follow me, please.”

Philip leads the two ladies through the door into the Hardboilder’s garage. He takes a single book in his hand and opens up his mind to the Earth’s Bookshelves. “All right. What keywords shall we start with?”

Thesia is mostly silent through the interaction, looking around the room with a odd sense of wonder. It all was so different from what she was used to, she was barely paying attention, until they moved into the garage.

It’s when he actually accessed the bookshelves that she really began paying attention. She swore, she saw faint images of said bookshelves, stretching out from the room into the Aether. “Uh... keywords? Hmm... maybe... maze? Or...” she gulped. “Labyrinth?”!

“Yes. Labyrinth as the first keyword.” Sheba confirms. Philip holds out his arm and the bookshelves dwindle in number.

“Still too many results. What’s the next keyword?” Philip asks.

“Megiddo.” Sheba answers. And once again, Philip narrows down the search results.

“I am getting closer.” Philip confirms. “Are you looking for a location?”

“Yes we are. Use the keyword ‘Entrance.’“

Inside the Earth’s Bookshelves, Philip’s hand finds a single book and he starts flipping through it. Once he finds his answer, he smiles and emerges, writing “ Ota Sasazuka Ishigaki Ruins “ on the blackboard.

“In order to access the entrance to this labyrinth, you need to enter the ruins at high noon.” Philip says. “It’s quite fascinating how many ancient legends have a grounding in reality.”

Sheba checks her phone. “According to this, high noon at the ruins will be at 12:20 today. We still have a few hours before we need to be there, Thesia.” She kneels down to the princess’ height. “Are you certain you want to keep tugging this thread?”

“...I am.” She nodded. “If the prophecy says that’s where I need to go, then that’s where I’m going. Anything to prove to myself that I’m worthy...” She said the last part quieter.

“If you two are going into a labyrinth today, may I suggest a slightly more modern method of tracking your progress than a bundle of twine?” Philip says. “Down the street from here by a block and a half is a craft supply shop. You can buy black light reactive paint and miniature black lights there.”

“That’s very helpful. Thank you, Philip.” Sheba offers her hand to Thesia again.

Thesia did seem a little pouty when he mentioned “more modern” ways of navigating a labyrinth, but it wasn’t severe. “Um... yeah, thanks.” She said, taking Sheba’s hand again.

“If you see Gentaro before I do, tell him that Shoutarou is wrong. He’ll know what I’m talking about.” Philip smiles as his DoubleDriver appears around his waist. “Oh, looks like Shoutarou needs me. Have a good day, ladies.” Philip ushers them towards the door before taking out his Cyclone memory.

“All right, Thesia. Let’s go gather supplies for the trip. We’ll need food, water, those paints Philip was talking about, and flashlights.” Sheba says, closing the garage door behind them.

(Tokusatsu-free-4-all) "Oi, Sora! Don't run off!" Ryo said as he was walking with his son.

Sheba is around the corner from their position, and as Sora comes around, the young boy will see Sailor Astarte fighting against a monster that doesn’t look like any kind of Megiddo. It’s a large green humanoid insect that seems to be hunched over inside its own cocoon.

When the Worm sees Sora, it tries to move towards the boy, only for Sailor Astarte’s arm to block its progress. She casually throws the Worm into the brick wall behind it.

“Sorry, Worm. Child is not on your menu today.”

“Sora!” Ryo goes to grab his son. “This is why I said don’t run off! Eh?” he sees this monster. “What is that? That’s definitely not a Meggido. We’re not even in Wonder World...”

“What you see before you...” She stops and notices the massive blade he’s carrying. “What you see before you, Sword of Logos, is a Worm. It is a shapeshifting alien that lured a man to this alley, and would have killed him if I had not intervened.”

“A worm? Wait, how do you know about the Swords of Logos?” Ryo asked.

“I can tell you later. We need to stop this Worm before it molts.” Sailor Astarte holds up her hand and fires a beam at the center mass of the Worm. “Solomon Storm!”

“I’m not sure what’s going on... but I’m always willing to take down a force of evil! Sora, get to safety.” Ryo said.

“Mmm!” Sora nods before running out

Ryo sets the wonder ride book into his sword. “Henshin!” Genbu Shinwa! He transforms into his rider form. “Haaa!” He jump slashes the worm.

The Worm is not having a good day. First it gets attacked by a Sailor Senshi, and then by a man with a big sword. And there really isn’t anywhere it can to dodge the sword. The Dogoken Gekido cleaves down through the Worm’s shoulder, keeping it from moving away from the two heroes.

“End it quickly. If that worm molts, we’ll never be able to catch it!”

(world-of-kamen-rider) “...Are you saying you have... prophecies? What kind? What do they say?!” Thesia looked stressed out.

“I was looking into some old texts in Wonder World. One of these mentions ‘A princess whose inner beast shall be calmed by the presence of a goddess.’ I’m pretty sure that refers to you and me, especially since my Wonder Ridebook also calls me a goddess.”

Her eyes widened. “Y-You’re... serious?! Wow... me, in a prophecy! What are the odds?” She giggled.

“Here, I’ve transcribed it for you. This is a prophecy from almost a thousand years ago.” Sheba sets the document on the table and starts reading.

“’When the princess meets the lost goddess, the beast inside her shall be quieted. When the goddess leads the princess through the maze, the princess’ true form shall be revealed. When the goddess and the princess stand together, a light will shine that will open the door to the future.’”

Her eyes were widened in surprise, before gulping and steeling her expression. “S-So... is this maze a real place?”

“There are many mazes in the human world. Hedge mazes, Corn mazes, stone mazes, even haunted house attractions count as mazes. However, if we want to find the maze from the prophecy, we should look for mazes or remnants of mazes that the Megiddo have tried to capture more than once.” Sheba answers. “If there was some sort of record of the places in the human world where the Megiddo have attacked, we could narrow down the search.”

“...Yeah, but where do you think it could be? The Sword of Logos’ arctic base? I’ve been there once, I don’t think they’d want to see me again.”

“I have some disagreements with the Swords, so I don’t believe we’ll be going there. However, I have heard from a local source that there is someone in Fuuto City who is ‘connected to the World’s Bookshelves’ whatever that means. This person may be able to do the research for us.” Sheba offers her hand to Thesia. “Are you up for an adventure, princess?”

She looked hesitant at first, as if she didn’t believe that the “World’s Bookshelves” existed, but after a few moments, she took her hand. “I am.”

“All right. Brace yourself, I’m going to transform and call for my vehicle.” She calls for her Seiken Swordriver and quickly plugs in the books for her Lost Songs before drawing the blade.

As soon as she’s in the gold and crimson armor, Sheba plugs in her book to summon Lost Daedalus. The turbine powered wingsuit appears on her back and she offers Thesia a three point harness to keep her from falling out. “Hold on tight, we’re going to be moving so fast, even sound can’t catch up to us.”

She stared in both awe and shock when she saw the wingsuit. She had no clue that Wonder Ride Books could do such a thing! Maybe someday she could find one of her own- that would be really convenient...

“Oh! Oh... all right.” She said with a small gulp, putting on the harness and getting herself settled.

With a roar of the turbines, Lost Daedalus takes to the sky, and the goddess and princess meet the clouds head on.

It takes no more than ten minutes to bridge the gap between Tokyo and Fuuto at these speeds, but the energy barrier Lost Daedalus creates prevents either of them from getting their hair or outfits messed up.

Settling behind the pool hall, Sheba unhooks Thesia and cancels her transformation. Daedalus disappears into the aether and that leaves the two of them to enter Narumi Detective Agency.

“Are you all right, Thesia? Has the adrenaline of the flight died down yet?”

She stumbled a bit, but fortunately, she didn’t collapse completely on the floor. She breathed heavily for a few moments, but quickly regained her composure. “I... I think so, yeah.
