They likely formed from gas clouds too small to form full galaxies, but to big to form open star clusters.” A beaming smile spread over his face as he looked up at his victim. “Are you… Did that make sense?”

☾     logan allowed her teammate to have her attention as she shifted through the fridge looking for something to eat (there was nothing, thanks garfield). at his question, she laughed and wrinkled her nose a bit while looking at him. “this is me you’re talking to, mateo. of course all of that made sense.” opening the cabinets now, she groaned at the bare sight. it was looking like it might be her turn to go grocery shopping. “two questions: what made you say all that and do you want to go shopping with me?”

well, this doesn’t exactly fare well.  completely drenched, bryn is pretty much going to be of no use to anyone.  when he lifts his hand from the water, he can only produce a quick spark, one that quickly fizzles against his wet skin.  if he panics, this will go south a lot faster though, so he takes a couple deep, slow breaths.  

he closes his eyes as he tries to will his heart to slow. ( it doesn’t exactly work )  how, in the heat of pre-summer, the bay can be so fucking cold is absolutely beyond him, but he at least manages to quiet his breath while he lurks under the dock, waiting for backup. 

☾     evenings were lo’gania’s “me” time as she called it-- that is if the titans weren’t off risking their lives for mankind. thankfully, this night was all hers and she explicitly had plans to fly over the water. something about it late at night always soothed her. her peacefulness was shortlived, however, at the sight of a spark and a hand slipping under the water. was that a spark? even she couldn’t be too sure, but she knew damn well that someone was in the water. not even thinking twice or taking a deep breath, the alien dove under the water in search of the person.

while it did take her a few moments to realize he was hiding under the dock, she was extremely relieved to see he was doing so. recognizing his face immediately, she pulled him close to her person in hopes of her body heat (that hardly ever seemed to drop) would offer some comfort in the cold water. “bryn, what happened to you? why are you in here?”

      “ so — are there rules here about just…going to space ??  because i kind of miss it. ”  his fingers tap against the top of his helmet where it sits in his lap.  what’s holding him back, really ??  if he was being honest, he’d admit that it’s a kind of fear.  that if he goes to leave he won’t be able to, and it’s pretty obvious what memories that will bring back. 

☾     silver eyes fell on the helmet that was perched in her companion’s lap and lo’gania smiled. “kind of! yes and no. a lot depends on why and where you’re going. but, if it’s just because you need to breathe what feels like actual air, then perhaps...” her words trailed off as she cocked her head to the side and looked at him for a moment. “i think that missing it should qualify as a good enough reason. it does for me.”

☾     sipping on her pineapple smoothie, lo’gania couldn’t help but smile. that certainly was gotham for you. consider it the hospitable charm of the city. “they only took one? they must have been in a rush.” even she thought her joke was clever.

          ‘ i am groot ! ‘ he’s enthusiastic by the girls enthusiasm. ‘ i am groot ? ‘ groot knew about his past lives and the much bigger and stronger groot that he used to be, but he didn’t remember any of it, not even a glimpse. groot climps upon her knees and hurriedly makes it up to her shoulder. ‘ i am groot, ‘ he is the only groot, what other groot would she be talking about ? nobody else was groot, only him. 

☾     "yes, little friend, yes you are. silly me to think it was anyone but you.” lo’gania laughed at the ticklish sensation she felt by him climbing up onto her shoulder. “you’re a quick little guy. do you like sweets? you must try a delicious pastry called a doughnut, no matter what! it’s warm and covered in frosting.” standing to her feet again as she spoke, logan looked down at him with a smile. “i think we should get some!” hopefully the nature of his next response would seemingly be one of agreement.

     peter couldn’t help the small smile that formed from her reaction. of course he knew what had happened to the planet, and really, he hadn’t been sure how many of her species had survived. it was nice to know at least one had. “pretty hard to forget considering how much i visited the planet. i always dug the silver eyes, definitely flarking awesome.” that was –well, that was actually really nice to hear, considering that he was certain a lot of the andromedians hadn’t been huge fans of him. “huh. that’s nice to think about it that way.” peter glanced around the subway for a moment before his gaze fell back onto hers, the smile dropping only to be replaced by a more mischievous grin. “okay, well, if i’m being honest here i haven’t exactly stopped the whole thieving thing even as a guardian.” peter brought a finger up to his lip in the keep it quiet gesture as he winked playfully. “it’s in my blood, what can i say.” 

☾     "it’s in your blood. ah yes, what is the famed story we would always hear? right-- yondu didn’t eat you because you could fit into small places. good for thievin’.” lo’gania couldn’t help the small laugh that came from her own impersonation of his voice. “how long have you been on earth? did you miss it or was it a duty calls situation? i must say-- even after four years, i still feel like they’re a species i’ll never quite figure out. i’m trying, though. it just always feels like as soon as you learn all you think there is to learn, they’re on to the next. and you’re starting all over again. humans are a rapidly adaptive species. i’m quite impressed.” moving to sit herself down in the seat next to him, logan rested her bags in her lap. “can you keep a secret?”

     peter had grown used to people not knowing exactly who he was around terra. sure, there’d be contact with the avengers and other heroes on the planet, but he and the guardians always tended to focus more on the galaxy as a whole. sure, there’d been a few times they had helped to stop threats from harming terra, but it was generally outside of the atmosphere – which was completely fine with peter. it might be the planet that he had been born and raised on for ten years, but it had stopped being his home after the loss of his mother. so when he heard star-lord, his attention was immediately grasped. “woah, woah hey – hi.” personal space much. she was close to him as he peered up at her curiously, and it was slightly unnerving. “that’d be me. i’d flash you my business card but i kinda don’t have any on me right now. wait – hey !! you’re an andromedian, aren’t you?? that’s so awesome. unless you’re here to yell at me for something i stole or whatever, which not cool. i don’t do that anymore.” that was partially true. sort of. 

☾     lo’gania’s feet threated to rise off the ground in excitement at his mention of her species. sure, their features had been unique across the galaxy (their silver eyes were a trademark throughout the cosmos) but she still didn’t expect to hear him say it. “yes!! yes, i am. you remember my people! you can recognize me, how fascinating!” she beamed happily at him, her ears almost not picking up on the last sentence. “no, i promise, i don’t want to yell at you. you can actually take pride in knowing that in some very backwards way, you helped save a part of andromedian history. but-- you stopped thieving? Is it because you’re a guardian now?” farewell to the rough around the edges bad boy crush of lo’gania’s youth.

Gamora decided that to fully fit in with these earthlings that she would need to start dressing like them. She was looking through the clothes within the Department store Quill had shown her the day before. She looked up when she heard mention of her name. It took her a moment to remember where she had seen the younger girl before and what her name was. “Hello, Its Logan right? I might have crashed here when the merging of realities happened? well technical i was looking for Quill when that happened. How have you been?” She asked smiling

☾     "yes! lo’gania or logan! quill? as in--” logan’s eyes got wide at the idea of the famed (or not so famed) star-lord being on earth as well. “amazing! do you like earth so far? it’s very odd at times, i will say. granted, i haven’t been here long either in earth or my people’s terms. but i’m adjusting. i’m--” at the question of how was she, logan’s expression dimmed for a moment. granted, she was doing okay, but-- well-- some days were harder than others to say the least. “--well! i have found a team of “heroes” that have accepted me on their team. they’re my only family here or anywhere-- and even though sometimes i just don’t get things, i still adore them. but enough about formalities! would you like help picking an outfit?”

☾     looking down at the small tree, lo’gania almost squealed with delight. immediately bending down, the woman rested herself down on her knees in hopes that he’d be able to climb onto her easier. “it has been quite some years since i have seen you. you were much larger the last i remember.” she raised an eyebrow at the little plant before laughing. “but-- you must be the real one. there’s no other groot but groot!”

☾     the deadliest woman in the galaxy. if logan wasn’t already used to seeing so many different beings on earth, she would have thought that she herself was seeing things. sure, her teammate jo had mentioned meeting a green woman that looked like she could and would kick anyone’s ass but-- well, that could have been a lot of women. after all, what were the odds of a woman that she’d looked up to and heard stories of for years as a teenager being on earth? it just wasn’t possible. or rather, that was her thought process up until she saw the woman at a department store. granted, the black leather made her stand out, but logan would have been able to spot her anywhere in any attire. having met gamora only a few times in her teenage years, it wouldn’t have been shocking if the woman didn’t remember her. however, that didn’t deter logan from trying in the least. “gamora? it’s been years, what-- what are you doing here?” granted, surely, gamora could ask her the same. unless she’d heard the news--

☾     now, peter quill or rather star-lord was no stranger among logan’s people before the demise of their planet. it seemed as though the andromedians that didn’t despise him either aspired to be him or had a crush on him. lo’gania, the heart eyed teenager that she’d been, was definitely the latter. however, since coming to earth all thoughts of the mystery and successful thief were lost to the wind ever since she’d made earth her home. however, there were some faces that were not so easily forgotten. and the one that logan found herself staring at on the subway brought a rise of heat to her cheeks. be cool, lo, it’s just some guy that looks like the guy that stole from your planet a lot of times. but, that logical part of her didn’t win and rather it was the curiosity that prevailed. moving a step closer, the alien bent her head down to peer at the man’s face in a closer proximity. for the briefest moment it seemed as though everything the titans had taught her about personal space was thrown out the window. sorry, peter. "...are you the star-lord?”

     For once, a rare occasion he hadn’t started this fight. The fire burning brightly behind him as it started to spread throughout the museum. The zippo lighter having been pushed from his hands and strung across the other side of the room. Not that he currently needed it, his fists were doing just fine. Wailing again and again on the guard who had gotten in his way. The guard technically fired first, and if he wanted a fight he would get one. With each strike the flames danced, resonating with his anger and only growing stronger around the area. 

☾     silver eyes narrowed at the sight of flames from where she’d been flying in the sky. any other time she would have deemed it safe enough for the authorities to handle on their own, but these flames seemed to have some sort of life to them. swooping down and landing at the scene, logan’s nose wrinkled in distaste at the scene in front of her. while she didn’t know either man, from the looks of it, attire made it easy to determine which one needed her aide-- she hoped. rushing over, she grabbed the assailant by the back collar of his shirt and flung him away from the guard. “it would be wise for you to stop now. these flames of yours are causing a problem.” her voice was steady as she made eye contact with the man that she determined was controlling this fire.

☾     logan smiles genuinely, extending a hand towards the other woman and hoping her actions weren’t too eager. “i’m lo’gania. logan for short. though, short i definitely am not.” she laughed again, having felt like it was so long since she used the tagline she perfected when first coming to earth.

☾     titing her head down, logan examined the outfit she was wearing once more. she did know that already, but what real harm was there in someone paying her compliments. she loved them. “at least that makes two of us that think so,” she replied with a laugh.
