           “don’t you silly people know not to touch things that don’t belong to you?” sure, he was just a cat that went unnoticed by the stranger but now he’s appeared quite out of nowhere as a tall & very normal looking human boy. “my, i’d think after 24 years the human population would have gotten a little more wits about them.” ranting to himself. well, they didn’t need to know that much. probably will sound a little more than confusing now that he has said it. yet it’s been 24 years since 1993 when the last imbecile - max dennison - that touched this SPELL book almost ruined everything. not only that, but now there’s more risks at stake of anyone finding out it’s more than a book. that’s why he’s so hasty upon snatching it back.

“you don’t think i have wits ??” astoria gave him a stern look before letting out a laugh. “a lady never reveals her TRUE SMARTS until she truly trusts someone !!” curiosity got the better of the raven haired female. “what’s wrong with touching such a thing ?? is my hand going to burn off ?? nothing could be more painful than the CURSE.”

“who would i die for ??” all of it felt like a hint of irony to the youngest greengrass. “my family would be my top answer for that one. because of---- the curse that plagues us.” pausing for a moment, hoping this didn’t sound too morbid. “perhaps i would die for draco in self-sacrifice. or for my future son or daughter, if i so happen to have any children.” chewing on her lower lip, astoria thought carefully, “i don’t believe killing is always the answer. or rather, it should not be the answer. i would kill someone for my family, but for all the right reasons. why kill ?? how does that resolve anything ??”

astoria was mesmerized by the bubbling water around her. excited to try out other such wonders that the muggles invented. smile rose on her lips, “suppose i’m an unlucky one.” having no reason as to why she needed to be there. “did you show up unaware as well ??”

draco was still learning to get used to quiet moments like this, so many of the last few years of his life had been filled with stress and pressure. astoria was one of the few people who made his world feel quiet, like maybe things were allowed to be simple for him. the blonde knew that his eyes should have been glued to the sunset but he couldn’t help but keep glancing in her direction, the fading light made her look absolutely stunning and it nearly took his breath away. he wanted to tell her that but he felt horrible inexperienced with that sort of thing. his only experience was with pansy and that hadn’t really been formal in any way. “it is, isn’t it?” he returns her gaze and gives a small smile, unable to look back out at the sunset once he’s looking at her. “would it be alright if i held your hand?”

draco’s voice brought her back to where they were. both sitting before the setting sun, a beautiful moment. astoria could feel the nerves in her body ignite. despite her nerves, she struck a coy smile, “take charge, draco.” smile soon turned into a tease. “but, i give you permission to hold my hand anytime you’d like. ----if the moment is right, of course.” pushing her hand towards his in order for him to hold it better. “everything about this is perfect--- that’d make it even more special.” hoping this would ease whatever pressure he felt. astoria felt it’d be better to be easy-going, let whatever needed to happen at the right time.

darks orbs watched the sun dip lower and lower. content expression danced across her features. despite her focus, in her peripheral vision, she watched draco. though the future was uncertain, all they had was this perfect moment. watching this perfect sphere of flames slip into the calm, blue water of the ocean. “what a perfect moment,” astoria murmured breathlessly before turning to stare at draco, intense expression on her face.
