Creative Writing Workshop: Character Creation
"How Setting Shapes Your Story" No matter if you are working on a short story, screenplay, or personal essay, it's important to keep in mind where your characters are. How does the time, place, location, and period impact your story? Can you picture the television show LOST without "the island"? How would Breakfast at Tiffany's have been different if it took place in Orlando? Through discussion and writing exercises we'll explore how to both create and use settings to shape a story.
