the thing I love most about how tumblr users use tags is that it’s like what if a social media website had a footnotes system

Today is my birthday. I’ve been really sad lately and I’ve convinced myself the world didn’t need my art as much as it used to, though I’ve done quite a bit of drawing in that time. It’s hard, social media is hard, I analysis so hard what and how I should post that I don’t 99% of the time (though this is far less true on tumblr).

Anyway here are some drawings I’m really proud of, all of these are made somewhere in the last six months, the last one i drew last night. It’s hard to look at something that’s not perfect, but I made it with pens, and markers, and friends. For my birthday I hope my art brings a smile to someone’s face today and / or an A.I. data center falls into a bottomless sinkhole.

it would be so nice if you were allowed to start working on projects before you hit the 12 hour until deadline mark but sadly it’s not possible with our current technology. scientists are hard at work but for now this is one of the limitations we must face as a people
