Intro post!!

I’m doing an intro post for this account because i’ve completely decided none of my irls will ever get any of my other tumblrs so i will become more active on this one now!

I’m queer and don’t identify with a specific sexuality or gender - Most people use she/her for my pronouns but i really don’t care!!

I have a lot of interests and would love to awnser questions or have conversations about them or anything!

i feel like sleep is the biggest theory and humans made it up and its not real and we don't need it the whole concept of sleep is weird like wdym nearly the whole country (everyone in the time zones) just collectivley decides to sleep when its night what is night what is sleep we probably dont even need sleep we just believe we do because thats what weve been taught and now we are accustomed to feel tired. feeling tired probably isnt real actully and its just a brain trick thatss been indoctrinated since who knows when and its alll a trick

Why Humans Need Sleep !!!

this has been sitting in my drafts while i build up research. do you care? probably not, i just like yapping.

Humans, us, have always liked being smart. It's actually had a lot of consequences, such as our increased need for sleep. Increasing our brain size took away a significant amount of our energy which used to go to other parts of our body. Therefore humans required a lot more sleep, and a lot more food as our brain is now consuming around 20-25% of our energy. That’s around 0.3 kilowatt hours (kWh) per day, 100x more then your phone might use on the daily! 

Unnecessary Fact: 1 text prompt to an Ai is worth a whole day of our brains thought.

Interestingly, during the age of enlightenment many philosophers had a view of sleep as unnecessary, and lumped it together with fever and madness. Saying that it hindered rational thought. Philosopher John Locke thought it a disruption to Gods plan for human kind as an industrious and rational species.

Case and point on sleep, every animal does it, weather its simply a state of metabolic slowdown called cryptobiosis in brine shrimp and killifish, or the long 22 hour sleeps of koalas because they decide to eat leaves that are poisonous—and give them little to nutrients.

During the day our brain is overloaded with information, spaces, faces, names, things from school, new textures, tastes and sounds. New information that for the most part, you won't notice. However in order for the brain to actually absorb information it needs to time for it to process and sort through what actually gets to short term. Now, it can't really do this while we're trying to walk and talk. Unless you're adamant on giving yourself amnesia sleep is important. Sleep is needed for the brains own 'homeostasis'

there's definitely many more reasons as to why we need sleep, however its dinnertime and i like steak. goodbye, thankyou.

i hate this so much i feel sick and i can’t hear anything except my thoughts im so paranoid and honestly terrified and i cant function let alone study and do exams. the second im alone i cant breathe and im trying to be normal at school because i dont want anyone to ask me whats wrong but i cant and i dont want to talk to anyone because im probably going to end up killing them or they will get hurt if i tell something or say anything and they listen to me i dont know
