Finished watching episode 13 Subbed and the first thing that's been on my mind is how Glass Has No Effect On These Two.

Like clearly it's an anime thing where the glass can't hurt them and it's just for Kaito's dramatic entrance and Yuma's comedic moment where glass falls on him. But I can't help but go ???? Are the properties of glass in Heartland different? Are there any scenes of glass being dangerous in this anime. Does this really matter? It's anime physics but my mind is boggled.

I thought it would be fun if his equivalent name to Astral was “Zero”, since he’s taking the role of the “original number” in this one (and he doesn’t exactly get to have a nice pretty astral world given name considering he’s the half of astral they Didn’t want to stick around).

he Feels Things, very much so, in fact he feels things to the point of it being a detriment. He can often be observed as swinging from one extreme to another on the emotional spectrum, and gets extremely possessive over things that he perceives as “his” (even if they aren’t exactly good for him). He has a serious separation anxiety and is incredibly insecure about being isolated again, considering his time in the Key was spent as a prisoner, not an envoy.

he takes a lot of inspiration from Astral as being “barian but not exactly” as opposed to Astral’s “astralian but not exactly”. Just like the barian world, he was the half that was sloughed off in an attempt to be rid of him altogether, and when that failed, well, this is what we got.

because of that I also wanted to make his “scars” very orderly and patterned, unlike Astral’s much more chaotic and ‘realistic’ ones. Almost like surgery scars in comparison to blast scars— because he was always meant be removed from Order.

A Normal Character from a Normal Series: About 6-12 sprites, sometimes a little more if they have special traits. Very easy and quick to assemble

prefacing this by saying i was not in zexal fandom when the ship was named (only watched zexal in 2023!) but aztecship's name gives big 'we named this ship the second the characters had enough interaction/info to name it'.

the sword and shield scene alone could have provided an amazing ship name (i personally think hopefulloyaltyshipping could have been a cute ship name), but unfortunately since that scene didn't happen until zexal ii, the ship name ended up just kind of referencing iii's love of history/iii's favourite card being aztec mask golem/the piles of artifacts in yuma's attic.

(also let's be real. i'm not fond of yuma/iii being referred to as 'aztecshipping' when neither character has any connection to aztec culture. yuma is a japanese boy and iii is a white british boy. love the ship, think it's super cute, just not fond of the chosen ship name.)
