❝ You don’t like the GREATEST king of olympus ZEUS calls you Aries. ?? ❞
❝ It’s technically my name so yeah -- sure, go ahead. Still, Poiseidon didn’t exactly use ‘ greatest ’ to describe you. My knowledge is therefore, a little flawed here. ❞
❝ Oh my…. ARIES. ??? ❞
❝ Humans usually prefer ‘ god ’ --but I prefer your choice. ❞
❝ Heh. Finally back to my constellation form. Feels pretty good, in fact. ❞
“Ah, I see. Then I suppose I’m flattered that you think I have a pretty face and that I don’t act like an ass.”
❝ Flattery has brought me to amazin’ places. Like, more time talkin’ to you, for example. ❞
“You’ll find that orders also tend to be when one has a job, one that they wish to keep.
“… Um. Taurus. I don’t see what that has to do with anything, though.”
❝ Can never settle on a permanent job. I’ll get sick an’ tired of it real quick. Heh. Hit a jackpot, didn’t I ? Horoscopes are my thing. Though to be frank, I’m bad with Earth signs. But doesn’t matter. You’re hot and polite so I’ll let it slide. ❞
Albeit he had witnessed powers of various kinds already and creating fire had certainly been among them, Ganymede could not help but feel a peculiar fascination upon seeing the flame surrounding Aries’ hand. There was a beauty to such a destructive power that was difficult to elude – and this one, in particular. Fingers twitched as though tempted to reach out for the flame ( but the cupbearer knew better than to burn himself unnecessarily ) whilst lips parted in brief awe. Who would have thought that such a rambunctious constellation had his way with powers like this. However, the boy was quick to regain his composure regardless, casting his gaze to the side whilst lips tightened into a thin line. ❝—–It’s… rather impressive, I have to admit that…❞ Mumbling such scarce praise, Ganymede stepped past the other to head for the lake.
❝ Really ? Guess I can do more impressive stuffs but maybe not now. ❞ He’s feeling particularly worn out, after having squandered every bit of energy on his previous drive. He waves his hand once more, flames waning into nothingness in a matter of seconds before they reignite on the surrounding trees to illuminate the darkening skies. Being mere illusionary flames, the temperature is non-existent. Ambling towards the edge of the lake, Aries flopped down onto the ground and ran his fingers through his hair; what an insane day. He’s accustomed to rapid surprises here and there but boy.

❝I’d… rather not. I’ve never been a good fighter, anyway. The only thing I exceeded in in my mortal life was sword dancing.❞ His brother had given him the knife to defend himself, afraid that the gods might take an interest in the beautiful boy – just a day before the young prince had been snatched away by the eagle. That a puny dagger would have not the desired effect was, of course, to be expected. In response to Aries’ question, Ganymede only nodded gently and whilst the other simply jumped down, he could only step to the edge of the platform – and glance down in perturbation. Naturally, Aries was a constellation and thus immortal yet he hadn’t expected him to possess such inhumane power. All that the cupbearer could do was, after having taken a look around, to use the ladder leading to the forest ground swiftly. ❝—-Do all of you constellations have such power?❞
Aries taps a foot against the ground, waiting as Ganymede finally descends by the ladder before listening to more of the boy’s curiosity. ❝ Depends. For me, I’m a natural fighter so jumping from high places aren’t an issue for me. Saggitarius has the strongest legs but I’m the quickest. As for other signs, that’s somethin’ you gotta ask them. ❞ It has been forever since he had gotten into contact with any of his fellow constellations. Who knows what other skills they may have adapted ? He waves his hand in the air and conjured red flames around the organ with relative ease. ❝ Although being part of the fire family, it’s self explanatory that I can create fire. ❞ The flame, though proportioned to a small size for the other’s safety, has an illumination that’s unique to his own.
❝I doubt that I could fight against you successfully. And to be honest, it’s a reflex of mine… The gods don’t like to see my dying, however temporary it is. It has become a bore to them after the first few times.❞ Though of course, they didn’t do much to prevent it either. After all, Ganymede would inevitably return after some time. At the very least, he was given enough leeway to kill time quite literally which in some instances which he was rather glad about. Eternity passed by mercilessly unexciting. ❝And there wasn’t anyone else besides the gods to fight off in a long time.❞
❝ Might be worth the try. Who knows. I might even let you win. ❞ Small tremors posed on his chest as he chuckled in good-nature mirth. He’s a proud fighter but he isn’t ‘neath allowing victories to be imparted. Sides, he doesn’t tend to mortally harm one who are clearly of no match to him. Perhaps he’s high in conceit, sometimes that’s his downfall whilst other times his resilience towards terror. ❝ Anyway, you can take your mind off that now. Didn’t you say somethin’ about wantin’ to see the lake ? Can’t say I find it that interestin’ but do whatever you wanna. ❞ Tucking his hands into his pockets, Aries leaps from the elevated platform and landed neatly on the ground.
*shouting in the distance* pisces is cooler than you! ((personified zodiac signs are cool! i hope we can rp someday mun ^^))
❝ Don’t go breakin’ the fishes’ heart, hey. But you may be right on that number. Pisces is cool, I’m flamin’ hot. ❞

“It isn’t that we’re sick of peace. We’re given orders, we follow them and do as little harm to the civilian population as we can.”
❝ Orders, eh ? Ain’t that just somethin’ fun to give for people lackin’ skills. Not my style though. Guess you’re like the Capricorn type. Or Taurus. ❞
“I’m to assume you offer words of flattery to all of the pretty faces you find?”
❝ Nah. Pretty faces who don’t act like an ass. I do have my standards. ❞
Exhaling deeply, Ganymede required a moment to regain his entire composure. It wasn’t what he had expected of this day and the path lying ahead of him was one hidden behind a curtain of uncertainty. A hand reached out to grasp the knife on the floor, sheathing it again carefully and hiding it beneath his robes whilst slowly raising to his feet again. Frankly, Aries didn’t seem like the type to think much before taking actions – simply aiming to attain what he had set as his goal. A quality not necessarily suited for such a feat yet the cupbearer wasn’t going to complain for much longer. ❝—–I think I owe you a apology… You helped me and I got so paranoid that I started being unreasonable. And my behavior before wasn’t any better.❞
❝ Heh … no worries. Then again, I got to know how Aquarius’s past life really is. Silver linings. ❞ There was a shrug of his shoulders accompanying his statement, clearly offense not taken. Short-tempered he is, it doesn’t take much for him to forget of trivial miscommunications. He’s quick like that, often quick to move on, oft too swift for anyone catch up ( though always being too slow to move from Aquarius ). ❝ Although next time, you might want to use that knife to point at your aggressor’s neck, not your own. ❞ He gestures towards the concealed knife with a hand, another resting on a side of his hip.
Tipping up his chin, Ganymede looked up at the other towering over him. Facing someone who had such a positive outlook on what was about to come even though it would not even concern him yet… In a way, it made the former prince speechless. It was foolish to try and oppose the gods ( regardless of vast number of attempts he had made on his own ). Drowning out any reort that was about to bubble past his lips, Ganymede shifted his gaze onto the floor again. There was still one thing bothering him about this situation – and whilst it would not affect his current self, he ought to at the very least mention it to Aries. ❝—–Is that really alright? If you… If we were to succeed and I’d somehow escape this cage without having to see Zeus again… It’d be a paradox. Aquarius… He would never come to exist and vanish since I have taken his place in this time. Even right now, we might already change too much. And Chronos won’t be able to help you in such a case.❞
❝ Hmm ... honestly, I don’t know much about paradoxes but I’m not going to isolate it being a major problem. ❞ Of course Aries wanted Aquarius to continue existing but neither would he be the sort to send Ganymede back in time where he’d only suffer. He wasn’t that kind of person -- or constellation. ❝ Think of it this way though. The fact that I still have memories of Aquarius fresh would mean that he still exists. Maybe there might be a loophole to this paradox issue. I dunno. I might have to ask Chronos about it ... if he’s already not mad at me stealin’ his stuff because of a dare. I swear, Gemini completely knew I wouldn’t back down from one, ❞ Aries grumbled. He was exactly famous for that: a daredevil and charges into action without thought.
With his back against the wooden door, Ganymede slowly slid down and sat upon the ground – the dagger falling right next to him. Had Aries told him such when he had been a cupbearer for only a few years, the boy would have agreed unhesitatingly. However, he had grown bitter over the fact of having to watch his family be killed, his hometown destroyed and knowing that even Hades was not capable of granting him a reunion. ❝—–It’s difficult to think in such a way if you have spent thousands of years in Olympus already. That is why letting go of any hope is way more bearable than fooling yourself into believing that each attempt has a fair chance of succeeding. Even if you have won many battles before… There might just be this one you can never win, Aries. And then any progress you wanted to make just… stops.❞
❝ A battle isn’t lost until I admit it’s lost. Time never stops for the winners, be it the gods or me. Time never stops for anyone. ❞ If so, then perhaps he would’ve been able to stop having his thoughts linger in the past. Nevertheless, there were other things around him that he has to move along with. Aries hopped down from the entrance and lands in front of Ganymede perfectly on his feet. ❝ If it’s simple for me to think of matters this way then just leave the thinkin’ to me. If it’s too unbearable for you to believe in things then two people can split the burden. You wanted to see how far I can bring you into freedom, didn’t you ? That’s why you followed in the beginning. Since you’re here now, why not see things till the end ? Maybe you had your experiences before, but you still saw them through the end. Your progress had never stopped if you’re here now ‘cause of your choice. ❞
