“Pft, Gilmore Girls. Whatever, I was always more into Friends! I thought you knew this, being my friend and all,” she teased, faking a look of hurt over the mix up. She noticed the slight strain in Astrid’s smile when Arion was brought up, and she blinked pulling back a bit. “What’s happened? I thought you two were doing rather well,” she asked gently, sheepishly pushing the box of candies towards the other girl. “Of course I love you, don’t be daft.”
Rolling her eyes, Astrid leaned back in her seat, popping the candy heart into her mouth. “Wow, such a difference. My apologies.” She was grateful for the candy in her mouth when Penelope asked her about Arion. It gave her an excuse not to answer for a few seconds until the sugar had dissolved and she was forced to respond. “We’re fine, if you call not talking to each other fine. He hasn’t quite gotten over the fact that I sabotaged his last engagement and almost lost him the throne.” She let out a small hum, avoiding eye contact with the brunette, finding an opportunity to change the subject. “Well, yes of course. I rather enjoyed those Valentine’s Day gifts. Thanks, by the way.”
