“I only hope that it isn’t broken.”
“You should have it checked out, it was a nasty fall.”
“My singing skills are about as good as a rat’s, but that sounds fun.”
“Should I be scared?”
“At least I’m not dead.”
“That’s a very good point.”
“Did I ever mention you? It is why she cries in her sleep. The screams are due to another devil she bares.” Eileanóra halts her hand in Elodie’s curls, narrowing her eyes in the most down bringing way.
“You were talking to me!” Viveka groaned as loudly as she dared. “I’m pretty sure she doesn’t appreaciate you taking about her personal issues to strangers, but that’s just me. Another young woman.”
are you still looking for a female bodyguard? any fc preferences?
OOC: yes!! i love shay mitchell, jourdan dunn, shelley hennig, emeraude toubia, bella hadid, kat graham, sophie turner & vaness hudgens!! but srsly pick whoever you want to play, those are just suggestions <3
Hypocrite.
Oopsie! I usually never do this.
“What do you want?” Eileanóra jeers in a whisper, smoothing Elodie’s hair with the tips of her fingers as she sleeps in her lap. Fits and nightmares course through her, and she tremors. Her younger daughters coil around the eldest, forming a cocoon of sorts. “They are not toys, my girls, and neither am I. I despise them being treated as so.”
“Uh... Did I ever suggest so? You jump into pretty wild conclusions”, Viveka whispered with both annoyance and bewilderment tuning her voice.
a triumphant grin spread across armani’s cheeks when viveka agreed to the proposal. “ it’ll be warm with a campfire, a burberry coat, and a bottle of dom perignon, don’t you worry, ” the blonde promised, skipping to her suitcase, to pull out her own coat, before reaching for the mentioned bottle of bubbly from their room bar. “ i’ll send someone to grab us our sweets and bring it down to the campfire. ”
With each word from Ani’s mouth the campfire was starting to seem like a good idea. Damn you and your persuasion skills.” She almost bitterly threw the expensive coat on and grabbed her thick wool scarf. She picked the shawl she every now and the wore over the coat. “You can never be too prepared. “Just tell Alex to bring them, he’s your bitch.”
“I’m okay! Just maybe a broken ankle.”
“Just a broken ankle? What do you consider a problem then?”
“Still not into it.”
Can’t say I’m stepping out of this room either but just a fine point.”
“Should I be insulted? Well, you’re still slightly incapable of anything. We don’t have to hike, we can do other things.”
“That’s an idea I like. I suggest karaoke.”
“ who ever said anything about exercise? ” armani furrowed her brows in slight disgust, though she walked closer towards her friend as she tried to back away. “ but really, how can you turn down a campfire, with toasted marshmallows? we can make smores! just picture the fluffiness of the marshmallow, under a layer of warm, dripping chocolate, ” the blonde described, hoping to convince the other princess. “ we can bring champagne? tipsy gossip is always the best kind of gossip? ” the dutch clasped her hands together, before adding the magic word. “ please, vee? ”
Viveka still wasn’t exactly convinced and sighed dramatically. “Campfire and smores...” she repeated slowly, weighting the pros and cons. “It’s still pretty cold outside. But I guess it will be worth it. It better be”, she added in the end with her index finger raised to point at Ani. A warning. “Besides you said please, it would be cruel to say no.” She looked outside from the window and she could already feel how cold it would get there with the harsh wind. “Thank god I brought warm clothes.”
Janaan had never liked that attitude. He didn’t believe that things got better simply by telling yourself that it wasn’t all that bad. How was that supposed to make anyone happier? You would just remember in the dead of night, lying in your bed and screaming on the inside because there were things you just couldn’t change. And in the end, yes in the end, they would eat you up. And you would end up like him. Hurt by the world and taking revenge. “That shit doesn’t work. I’m not gonna lie to myself”, he said and shook his head once again, maybe because he was trying to convince himself that he was always honest to himself even if he wasn’t, never had been completely. But she couldn’t know, could she? No matter how intelligent she was. “Uhm, no, I actually wouldn’t. I wouldn’t at all.” He made sure to emphasise his words, just so she would understand what he was getting at. How many gay royals were in this small world? This seemed a little bit surreal, if he was being honest but it wasn’t like this was anybody’s fault. “What was she like?”, he asked and it was the first time since he’d got here that he was interested in somebody else’s story.
Now it was Viveka’s turn to scoff. He had a point but it was terribly flawed. “But your way just holds you back. You can’t be truly happy if you just try to adapt or whatever. You need to aim for happiness, nothing else!” She had to admit that she did live in a rosy pink world of idealism but that was what kept her going. She could not stop midway and just abandon her views, it would have left her pretty much next to nothing. She wasn’t the one who adapted, usually it was the world around her. She lifted her eyebrows just slightly and leaned to his direction, resting her arms on top of her knees. “You don’t chase girls, huh. But boys are boring to chase after; they stop dead on their tracks if you just call for them, don’t they? Who are you running after then?” she asked from him and waited for the answer impatiently. She somewhat loved stormy tales of young love, mostly because it made her happy to know that her dramatic relationships weren’t petty or just childish. The thought of Imogen’s face brought a small smile on her face. She did not quite understand why she was discussing Gem with him of all people. Maybe it was the fact that he had bothered to stop and listen. Perhaps because he did not know anything before hand. She had to worry about her words around most of her friends, mutual friends of the blue haired girl. “She is the sole reason why I even had the guts to come out. She has that fire inside her, y’know?” She gestured something with her hands. “She doesn’t say silent when it mattered and she is the strongest person I probably know. But she had her flaws, we all do right?”
(( @armanicatherina ))
“Yes, we could go and exercise. Walk around a bit but have you considered home much more fun it would be to order champagne, fill a bath with warm water and I don’t know what else classical relaxation day stuff I can come up with, but did all that? How much more fun would it be?” She asked as she walked further away from the outdoor. “Or we could cook. I don’t think I’ve done that in three years -no lie. Just don’t make me go outside. It’s moist and wind and cold!”
He didn’t doubt her words for a split second when she said that she easily got along with everyone. Janaan was an outcast here, someone no one could stand, and he didn’t think that to make himself sound miserable or lonely or like he had been treated in the wrong way. Because he wasn’t, he had earned that position by being a terrible person to everyone who crossed his path - hell, he hadn’t even been exactly nice to Mahir who he knew for a couple of years now, though he wasn’t sure if he really counted as a person or if that man was only a warm body. So it was rather surprising that this girl talked to him like he wasn’t out of the ordinary. Nerves of steel, he thought and he wasn’t quite sure if that made her an even better person or more intimidating than she already was - not that he would ever admit that. “You’re saying that because you can’t change it anyway. That’s what we do in shitty situations. We try to adapt.” A deep sigh escaped his mouth as he fumbled in his pocket for his cigarettes and lighter. The Arab man stopped his hand from moving any further when he heard what she had said. A situation that sounded way too familiar. “You’d be chasing a girl.” It sounded rather than a question coming out of his mouth, he just wasn’t sure if he got this right or if his mind was playing tricks on him now.
He knew how to pick his words, Viv thought to herself. He was right of course, she was partially convincing herself that the situation was under control. “Hmm.. Isn’t it better than crying about it? Tricky situation to be in and I don’t know another coping mechanism. Fake it ‘til you make it. It has worked for me few times. I suggest you try it out,” she told him, her words again pouring out of her mouth like it was nothing. Adapting didn’t sound very tempting for her, it sounded like acquiring a new skill to better fitness. Not something you could do to make yourself happy. Her eyebrows lifted as she saw his reaction to her words. The statement made her laugh a bit -this time it was sincere. “Girls are much nicer to run after than guys after all, wouldn’t you agree? She is a whole another thing though. If you ever met her you’d understand.” Her eyes had once again moved from him, she looked nowhere, more in deep thoughts than in the chilly room. She blinked once and shook her head. “But we just don’t... how would you say it? We aren’t treated kindly by fate. See, I haven’t completely lost my poetic side.”
She was careful, he noticed that. Not out of fear, out of the stupid belief that he was going to hurt her, but more because she knew what words could do. At least it looked that way to Janaan, but what the hell did he know? He was prince that should have never been born into that place, it was a world he simply didn’t belong in. “He was a terrible person”, he whispered, not sure if Viveka had even heard the words coming out of his mouth, but did that really matter? What did matter was how relieving it felt to the Iraqi man, something he had to hold back at the court back home. He could say it here and no one would threaten him. How could they if he was the future of his country? A terrifying thought. “Of course it was my father’s idea”, he scoffed and shook his head in disbelief. “Don’t tell me you have chosen yourself to marry someone you don’t even know.”
She had a hard time imaging a person he was describing. For a moment she thought that she had been privileged. Privileged to have a loving father and quite perfect family as a whole, actually. But she held that thought for a moment longer before realizing that it was preposterous. He was the one that had a family out of the norm. Fathers such as his were a problem. “Sounds like you’ve had shit luck. “ It was a statement, slightly decorated with sympathy. She didn’t want to seem like she was pitying him, he wouldn’t have liked that. She was sure. He had changed a bit. His feelings were more visible now. Her lips were in a tight line, it seemed so unfair. She had screamed and screamed about the situation the first time she had faced it. It had been the thing to tarnish her childish dreams of just living on with Imogen by her side. She brushed some of her hair behind her ear and cast her eyes at the floor. “No I didn’t choose him. But he’s not awful, and I get along with people easily.” She hesitated for a moment. Was he worthy of hearing something personal from her? She felt like she owed him at least one truth after his confessions. “Honestly, if I had had a say in this thing. I wouldn’t be in Iceland. I would be on the continent chasing a ballerina.” She laughed slightly but the sound had no glee in it, it actually came way out more bitter than she had first intended.
