This week I have been doing a lot of interior-hunting on Pinterest in a bid to try and figure out what kind of look I want to achieve when I finally get round to doing up my new abode. Wary of ending up with something too sterile and cold I have been looking at ways of making fresh, modern and contemporary styling feel more homely without it looking dated. Since getting my gold pineapple as a house warming present I have been into the idea of accessorising a house with touches of gold. How to decorate your home with gold accents without it looking tacky? How to make gold look tasteful? Obviously weâre not talking Liberace proportionsâŚjust a tiny spatteringâŚthe Midas touch so to speak.

We havenât managed to shake off the winter chill but weâre beckoning Spring ready to greet lighter mornings and milder temperatures with open arms. With Spring on the brain and an urge to buy some new clothes (well, if you canât justify new clothes with the dawn of a new season then when can you?) I felt the need to flick back through some of my favourite editorial shoots in the look out for some inspiration. The Victoria Beckham shoots for British Vogue both stuck out for me (I am having a bit of a VB phase to be honest â her double denim throw back on Instagram had me hooked).
Deliciously soft PJs (click here to read the PJ Edit if you havenât already), grey cashmere in abundance and a laid-back nonchalance â the perfect formula for bridging the gap between Winter and Spring. Whether youâre wrapped up at your desk, popping back to your parentâs house in the country to help polish off the remnants of the Christmas chocolates or spending weekends with friends walking briskly round Clapham Common bracing the elements before curling up in a cafe to natter about failed New Yearâs Resolutions. Whatever your plans â swaddling yourself in soft greys is certainly a resolution worth sticking to.
