Asuka or Kako <33 I have interests in danganronpa and ESPECIALLY fangans!! like drante, pj:eg, drdt and much more :3 and I'm also interested in milgram!! Also I'm a minor so please don't talk about NSFW stuff with me so freely
PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO VOTE AMANE INNOCENT/FORGIVEN DAILY, HER INNOCENT PERCENTAGE IS CONSTANTLY DECREASING AND SHE MAY LAND A GUILTY VERDICT AT THE END OF HER VOTING PERIOD
I'm happy with question seven as well as the answer given to it. The answer just confirms so many things in subtle ways that people were iffy on all at once.
Amane: I don’t remember. I'm sure something happened that I would rather not remember. In circumstances such as those, it’s best to simply close off your heart.
Mrs.Momose you beat your child black and blue then killed an animal she cared about because she gave it medical treatment-
It confirms that the cat not only represented Amane in some instances but was a real animal that she took care of before she was punished for doing so. It reinforces what The Purge March implied thar Mrs.Momose more than likely killed the animal after punishing Amane due to her breaking the most important doctrine of their faith. Then on top of that it once again pulls attention back to the fact that Amane still has dissociative issues. Something retroactively further supported by the entirety of The Purge March being rooted more heavily in the reality of her circumstances than Magic was, the statements made by other characters regarding Amane's behavior trial two, and the fact that now after being voted innocent she doesn't remember.
Because clearly some part of Amane remembered enough to put that in The Purge March prominently then showcase themselves killing their mother directly after. It also confirms that her mom beat Amane then killed an animal Amane was taking care of because she gave that cat medical help all right before asking Amane to call for medical help for herself. Which has to honestly be the funniest fucking thing to ever happen. Like, no wonder she was so fucking mad at the end of The Purge March.
I would like to know why acknowledging that,
Women are capable of doing illegal things.
Women are capable of being incorrect.
Women are just as capable of being manipulators, groomers, assaulters, abusers or generally abusive as anyone else is.
Women are capable of doing harm to themselves as well as others.
Because there is no gender identity or label that makes one person more morally correct than another. Every person is just as capable of doing wrong by others regardless of an individual’s identity.
Turned into blind support and apologia of abuse that women face at the hands of other women.
Child abuse isn’t a divine right that feminism or womanhood has afforded to women for going through childbirth. I do not believe that just because someone has a child it means that said person or people can treat said child however they please. I feel that if anyone believes such a thing to be the case, that having a child and choosing to raise them in the future regardless of their gender means they are entitled to control every aspect of that child’s life, then before having children it would be better to reevaluate what they believe a child is or simply not have children at all.
In a world where more people would be upset at a person hitting an animal than a child, we’ve all got to start deconstructing what on a societal level has led to this collective apathy towards the abuse children face on the regular basis within their homes. If this was a simple story about Amane killing her dad for abusing her mom like many stories involving a child killing their parents in media is then I doubt that this vote would even be close going off her crime alone. I doubt anyone would be stating her father was simply trying his best right now. I don’t see many people decrying male protagonists killing their fathers in other media I read. I read Chainsaw Man, and I read Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.
There are three people who are instrumental in their father’s deaths between both of those series. None of which have been decried as much as this child killing her abusive mother. I have luckily seen no one going in depth to defend the parents in those instances like here. Hell, some parents have not even canonically to my knowledge hit their kids in a media and I’ll see entire think pieces on how they’re abusive based solely on how their kids behave presently points at all of Project Sekai.
I would like to know when womanhood became a free pass to victimhood when that child lashes out at a parent in the exact way the parents may have taught them to? If it's not just a case of apathy towards the abused and instead a genuine show of concern and consideration towards mothers out there like Mrs.Momose that is.
Then I would like to know when feminism started excluding the most vulnerable of women, little girls? I want someone to explain to me when reactive abuse as a phenomenon began to be used to excuse abusing one’s children. Because everyone can be suffering in a circumstance without having to excuse the ways in which another person contributes to someone else’s hardships. I want to know when feminism became about excusing the disenfranchisement of certain women at the hands of other women. When it became about asserting women's entitlement to do harm to others in the same way they feel they've been harmed than helping women as a whole. When did we move away from feminism into this pick-me, I'm a girl's-girl but wave of apathetic feminism only meant to be picked up and used as a shield any time our wrongs are discussed.
I feel it’s important to think about who’s ego one is soothing when one says things like maybe there was a good reason, they surely were having a difficult time too, parenting isn't easy. It’s especially important to evaluate what those statements serve to excuse. No amount of a difficult time excuses tasing your child, killing your child’s pet, waterboarding them, any of the things Mrs.Momose is displayed as doing and teaching Amane how to do.
Then despite punishing Amane beating her several ways to sunday,
As well as killing her pet because she gave the cat medical attention she still asks Amane to get her medical help.
All I can think about the situation is no wonder Amane was so mad at the end of The Purge March.
You’re sorry? I don’t care! Please, go ahead and die already. Remember MY cries, MY repents, MY words of “I’m sorry” that I said to you?
29/06/2026 (Amane's birthday)
Amane: …[COUGH]… [HACK]…! Hhaaa… Haaa… Haa- ….ack! ughhhh… uuuu…. Fuuta-sa- I'm sorry. I… a person…
Fuuta: …It's alright. No one can hear us in here. I'll keep an eye out to make sure nobody comes in…
Amane: …uuu…. [hic] Aaaaaaaa-…. Aaaaa…. I'm sorry…I'msorrryImsorryyy… For everything, and everything- ahhh- [COUGH]
Fuuta: …It's alright …Don't worry. We'll ask for forgiveness, together…
Amane fans stay winning because even when she's dying she's still the most compelling character in all of Milgram's narrative. The last three prisoners about to hit different that's for sure.
I do think Amane.... honestly doesn't have any friends at all outside Milgram. I could easily imagine that as younger kid her parents wouldn't allow her to spend to much time around to Bad Influences Outside (anyone outside the cult) so she's pulled away from her playmates.
And later on she doesn't watch the series, or the movies, or play the games everyone else does. She keeps talking about weird boring rules and and about God and the other kids her age find it off putting. Maybe she does get invited to things like birthday parties but always says no because she's Not Allowed To Go. And eventually everyone just stops asking.
In the 05 - 10 swap au, how do you think shidou's voice dramas go? what does he think of es? Is he "their fangs" or patronizing to them or a secret third evil thing?
I think because he still had + lost his family... and that his entire reason for being how he is is that loss, he'd be very patronizing of es. Same reasons, though... thinking they're too young, that they don't have the capacity to properly give judgement, and the secret thing of them reminding him of his sons in a way he doesnt want to think about... Especially in this case, where I'd imagine he's trying his best not to be too soft/get attached (he will, though.)
@hectorthedoggo tumblr DELETED MY RESPONSE so heres a whole post. anywayyys I think he'd go into it not expecting Milgram to cooperate in the first place... or at least, not es, because they're a kid, and he "understands how difficult it'd be for them", since children are "more innocent, more forgiving". So I think he'd act regardless of if he thinks es/milgram would agree in punishing the others if he's innocent, or punishing himself if he's guilty (because. it's shidou and his self-blame is too important to take away imo. not a lot of guilt, but he will punish himself.)
I also do think he'd understand if they changed their mind to go against him... he's caused them the very pain he sought to find retribution against. there's complicated things with how i've thought over his murder, but... he's well aware, and unwilling to change, but he'll take the punishment, i think.
Also admission... I never read/listened to YONAH. But! I think... maybe. as a real moment of weakness... maybe it'd lead to insight on his past as a father... because otherwise he'd try to keep a careful distance from Es to not harm them with his actions and to not hurt himself if they reject his thought process. as compared to kotoko who seems insistent on partnership in justice, I think shidou wouldn't be as insistent for them to agree.
i cannot imagine es would be very happy about that hug though. no matter how subtle.
@hectorthedoggo yeah i think my tumblr browser lowk hates me... tis been an issue for a while but agh. anwyays though... the words are under the cut. a swap shidou and ponderings of swapes above
(skipping middle para for now) hehe... yes.... my thought is that he'd be annoyed at how "light" the punishment for being guilty is, and would take it into his own hands to decide that if he is to be guilty, and punished as such, it has to be Substantial. He definitely takes the "judgement of a child like them" very seriously when it comes to himself, though...
I dont know why, but it makes sense to his character like that... He wont argue for his righteousness but he will ensure their decision is enacted.
And... hehe. He definitely feels some way about them... it's easy to think he's in the right when he's being agreed with, but the voices probably draw out some of that listlessness/hopelessness he had when he lost his family... and might push him into deciding that if he's punished, he will be punished the way a true murderer must be.
oooh... maybe.... For a moment he becomes genuinely soft and gentle and patient with them and they go ":/ hey whats with the sudden parenting. what the fuck" and it snaps him out of it. They dont need to know or care about that. dont even worry about it. a child like them should just let the adults handle things...
yk.
(also, yeah, asks are probably better for now... replies only work on my phone, it seems...)
some swapgrammies!!! some of these designs were referenced from the thing @supercplx sent me hiiii hi creature. the things. i wanna draw 10shidou again but its 1am and i must sleep. heres the things. goodnight
hey. it's me again. what would shidou do if he got an innocent verdict, and 03, 06, 08, and 09 all got guilties? (unless we'll go for amane, fuuta, mahiru and mikoto instead?)
he would not interfere with amane or muu (03 and 09) because they are children i feel like,, maybe muu but i really don't think he'd get amane. he'd make some kind of excuse
for 06 (haruka) what would he do?
fuuta (08) gets the brunt of it, doesn't he? (hah. i wonder if yuru will see this >:P)
and if he's getting mikoto and mahiru, how would he withhold food and stuff to harm them? curious on the mechanics.
like what would his section in the t2 commencement notice be like? totally not because i am planning on writing something nefarious/evil. just... asking for a friend, what would he do? :3
Well I really liked your idea of solitary confinement.... maybe he managed to get his hands on locks, managed to convince the others to steer clear of the guilty (or at least, hard to do much through a door)
I'm still set on the starvation thing, but i think since the verdicts dont change place (ie. guilty trio is still the 03,06,08 and 09, so amane, haruka, fuuta, muu. see: the chart below)
he'd only really be so harsh to fuuta. sorry man :p its what you get for being a grown man, i guess! His excuse for not being so harsh on the others is simple: theyre kids, they just need to learn, not really to be punished to such a degree. he'd confine them to their cells, maybe, but he wouldn't starve them, not to the same extent as an adult, that's just cruel.
as for t2 commencement notice... lemme write up a quick thing. but here
Number No.10, Kirisaki Shidou. Your judement was INNOCENT, and as such, his ideals were affirmed.
Maybe it's because his ideas were affirmed, he seems to have taken it as permission to do whatever he liked, in accordance with your verdicts... it seems he thinks that he's acting out your will. Well, well, you've got quite the lovely associate, Es.
He's "dealt with" four other prisoners. Prisoner No. 3, Momose Amane, Prisoner No. 6, Sakurai Haruka, Prisoner No. 8, Kajiyama Fuuta, and Prisoner No. 9, Kusunoki Muu. All three of them were locked in their cells, no way out, no way in. If locks were broken, they went back up the next day. They were functionally isolated from the rest of the prison. The four you decided were the worst of the bunch, isn't it?
On top of that, it seems he's been withholding their food. Now, don't you think I chose to do that, I try to ensure all our prisoners get fed, but it seems he's managed to prevent them from receiving all their food. Not entirely, of course, but it's sure taken a toll on them.
Interestingly, he's left Amane almost completely alone, aside from locking up her cell. I sure wonder why...
Now, the locks have been removed as of the start of the trial, and you don't have to worry about them starving... but all this has definitely affected them, on top of their guilty verdicts. Quite the predicament, no?
You've got quite some work set out for you, Es. Milgram has shown me quite a bit of animosity between prisoners, it's nothing rare. But a prisoner as ideological Between him, and some of the other more troublesome prisoners... You're either extremely unfortunate... or extremely lucky.
hey can i get uhhhh swap 05 messing with es ? i awanna see this kid ragebaited. and maybe es messing with him in t2... >:P
hes bullying a 15 year old. messing with them and giving them the worlds worst headache. 10Shidou voice erm acktually and es is going to have an anyuresm.
I dont have a lot for them!!! but! i do think theyre really cute. not much for 06haruka except for maybe having latched onto someone as a friend ... not sure about everything else. 01mahiru... im thinking if I'd want to include the arranged marriage bit... it could be interesting for her to be desperate for attention in general, being in a loveless marriage or something? idk. theyre really cute though
