Learning that it was Joe’s idea to have Ryan give Naim his snake ring because in that moment after the hospital scene they had to decide whether they were going to separate forever or be together forever so Ryan giving Naim the ring was a symbol of them staying together, and the reason we didn’t see Ryan give Naim the ring is because it wasn’t even in the script, it was something Joe and the costume designer came up with, has now ruined my day and I need to go play in traffic
btw, it’s really beautiful that at the beginning of what naim and ryan had, some of the aggression that ryan shows seeped through a bit, how he normally expressed his lust with hunter yet it so quickly became tender with naim, even though the first kiss was literally after them wrestling around, naim showed ryan to love softly and he melted into it
and id never call naim stupid for falling for entity ryan every fucking time bc if my beloved came to me and they talked and walked and kissed and touched me the same way, if they knew exactly how to get me going, if they pressed their hand to my screen door after saying they just want to stay with me until someone can come keep me safe and that they're scared too, but they were never scared of this. yeah. id let them crack my fucking skull open.

can we also take a moment to appreciate how much joe bird and stacy clausen really understood their characters. like i get it's their job but GODDDD. idk maybe its just the actor in me but its in the little things that im not so sure are scripted?? small mannerisms and whispered words and such. they did such a good job.
an example: ryan's murmured "please" before he kisses naim on the bus. the JAW CLENCH. the having to contain himself because he wants naim so bad. and then ryan absolutely cheesing afterwards. i saw someone else (hystericalend on tumblr) say on here that ryan has only experienced this type of affection when it comes with pain (hunter and ryan throwing rocks at each other to inflict pain because the pain justifies kissing each other) and i think stacy was really good at showing that.
