We aren’t born with the main cavity-linked bacteria like S. mutans. Most people pick it up later through saliva contact.
Xylitol is a natural sugar alcohol that boasts numerous benefits for dental health.
Unlike regular sugar, xylitol doesn't fuel the bacteria in your mouth that cause tooth decay. Instead, it disrupts their ability to adhere to teeth, reducing plaque formation and the risk of cavities.
Additionally, xylitol stimulates saliva production, which helps neutralize acids and re-mineralize enamel, promoting stronger teeth.
Incorporating xylitol into your oral care routine, whether through chewing gum, mints, or toothpaste, can contribute to healthier teeth and gums.
So next time you reach for a sweet treat, consider the dental benefits of xylitol and indulge guilt-free in its cavity-fighting properties. 🤔
I still worry about my teeth, you know. I keep worrying I have a cavity or just have some other kind of soreness somewhere in the molar area on my top right.
I think I'd legitimately feel better if I just knew what was causing all this. If I knew it was a cavity, I'd be really unhappy. But at least I'd know what it is. Right now I have no clue what it is, and that lack of knowledge is so frustrating for me. It's really, really frustrating.
I don't have a lot to say about this. It's just very frustrating for me. Same as my congestion and all my other issues. I hate it. My dad goes to work tonight, and yet I think I'll be more nervous when he goes back to working his full hours.
I'm still scared of having a cavity. It's old memories and old trauma. I last had a cavity when I was around nine. I had it dealt with while I was under anesthesia, but I had a meltdown when I was woken up and I punched my mom clear in the face. I am scared I'll do it again if they put me under anesthesia, and so I'm constantly terrified of needing dental work. It feeds my paranoia, and I'm just...if I do have a cavity, I don't know what I'll do. And so I'm living under duress here. And I will be doing that until I get answers. Even after that, I don't know if I'll feel much better. sigh...
My teeth HURT, but I can't afford to go to the dentist without insurance, and none of the offices in my area accept my insurance, so I have no idea what I'm supposed to do? I can't afford to travel to a dentist who does take my insurance, so I feel doomed?
Yiiipppeeee!! Guess who needs dental work again??😤
This cracked tooth is starting to decay and it's causing me so much pain, I've barely slept the last 24 hours.
I'm booking an appointment on Monday, but alas, I have no money to actually get it looked at. My welfare covers extractions only (which is probably what I'll be doing) but it doesn't include xrays and all that. (Not to mention I need money for transportation too😑)
Anything is appreciated, and I'll update the amount with reblogs.
