“Little Christian.” He pondered that for a moment. “You know what? I don’t hate that.” Christian said with a small smile, adjusting his glasses slightly. “Also, my extended family might be... messy, to say the least, but I know a ‘cool uncle’ doesn’t proclaim themselves to be the cool uncle. Unless it’s an ice pun. Which would be... kind of lame.”

Christian pushed some of his hair out of his face. Blonde hair, from his mother’s side. But the red tint to the world? His father’s eyes. He grinned, putting his hands behind his back. “Unexpected is my middle name.” Christian joked. “And, thank you. I certainly did my best.”

    He paused. “Can I hug you?”

Christian shook his head. “No, I think it fits.” He adjusted his glasses, now looking Scott back in his glasses. “I know-- well, maybe I shouldn’t say this. But I know I’m not the son, or person, you wanted... but... I care. And I hope you care.”

isnt THAT a whole can of worms he shouldn’t be opening right now?  the summers family drama so to speak, was a lot to take in even for him –and he’s been living it. he should feel bad about dumping all this on a kid –on his kid.  ❛  well…let’s just say he’s not a big fan of the summers family. he uh…tried to kill my daughter and make me watch. ❜ that might just be the least of it.

What was he born into?

“Oh.” Was all he could say at the moment. He didn’t know Rachel very well, or Scott’s relationship with her, but he did know that ... actually, he didn’t know. He didn’t know a lot. “Uh,” He laughed, awkwardly, nervously. “So I’ll pull the blind card and pretend I don’t see him and never talk to him.”

he supposes it’s a bit odd for the kid, being around a father he doesn’t quite know, yet he’s asserted his place in life already with a declaration to stay away from a blood relative. he doesn’t know it yet, but he’s doing it to protect him. was that something not expected of him? was he not meant to see mutant hybrids as kids? god, he could kill sinister where he stands for doing this again, but he can’t take it out on christian. not when he looks like him. not when he looks like emma. ❛  he never won brother of the year either –for the year we did know him. ❜

That twinge of distain. He wasn’t an empath, but he did feel the thoughts of people around him. And he felt it from his father. Genetic father. And maybe his emotional father if things go well. He rubbed the back of his neck, looking up at the sky. The moon. The House of Summers. 

    “What did he do?”

Christian nodded, swallowing hard. “Uh, yeah.” He rubbed the back of his neck. Everything about this world was off. His creation, Xavier, his ‘mother’ welcoming him with open arms, his father keeping many people at arms length. The X-Men. This was all wrong. 

    But it’s also all he knew. 

“Guess he’s not getting world’s best uncle on a mug anytime soon?”
