So, in an effort to get myself back into RP, I made a new muse and retired Eleanor. (If you’re saying ‘Eleanor who??’ right now then you know why I retired her.) Anyway, my new muse is Kira Nerys from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and she’s @ineededtheexercise. Go and say hi? Yell at her? Just generally bug her??

So, this is a little overdue.

I started college in September, and I was there for the first six days. On the sixth day, I was pretty ill. And I ended up not going in on Tuesday or Wednesday. Wednesday night, I went to see a doctor and he had me admitted to hospital. They ran a bunch of tests, found some cysts in my kidneys and I’ve basically been diagnosed with Adult Polycystic Kidney Disease (APKD).

My kidneys are working fine now but APKD (if it’s the kind they think it is) means that, as I get older, the cysts will multiply and grow and take over both my kidneys. By the time I’m 60, I’ll need either a transplant or regular dialysis.

I’m back at college now, and I’m all caught up academically speaking. Socially speaking, not so good. Anyway, I’m hoping that explains my being MIA. And I’m hoping it also explains why, right now, I’m not sure whether I’m ‘back’. But, as usual, I’m still open to OOC talk.

New Laptop

And…I’m back. It may have taken me a week longer but the first week of social action and general lack of absolutely blinding motivation kept me away.

I’m going to pick up my new laptop today, so there’ll be some setup and transferring files and all that. And I might get obsessed with Stardew Valley or some other game that this new computer will actually be able to play because it’s not six years old.

But, somewhere in the next week, I’ll see if I can get myself to start writing for these idiots again? Also, I’m here on OOC again and I’ll try and not be as all over the fucking place as I have this week. ^_^

Tomorrow, I’m setting off for the residential. I have no idea if I’ll be able to check in or if I’ll have to wait to get back home on Friday. If I do get online, I probably won’t be making replies while I’m there because I’ll be running just on 4G. But, because all my blogs are shiny and ‘new’, I’m open to anyone if they want take a look at the urls on my about page and send something here/to any of those blogs?? And that’s about everything.

Short LOA

Basically, like (I think) I mentioned in my ‘back’ post, I’m going away for five days on 1st August. Then I’ll be back for the weekend and away again for another five days. For the first five, I’ll be in a rural area so I won’t be online much in general. I’m not sure about the second week. And then I’ll be back, and I’ll have two weeks before college starts.

So, I’m ‘back’. Back meaning I’m feeling on top of replies on Nikola and mostly on Chase. And I’m currently watching SGA. Which means I’d love to get some threads on Elizabeth before I go away on a course during August. I have no idea at what point I’ll resume normal service during August, but I’ll be back and intend to stay back when college starts on September 12th.

Anyway, long story short, like for a starter or hit me up if you want to plot or have specifics for your starter.
