It was not cake you lacked
You shouldn’t joke about having anxiety, it’s not “quirky”
My dude I’m literally in therapy for my anxiety
I think I’ve earned the right to joke about it
My counselors tell me that self deprecating humor is perfectly healthy, so long as it doesn't cross into self harm or self destruction.
Using myself as an example, I am blind in one eye and have no depth perception, so it's not uncommon to hear me joke about losing another confrontation with a doorframe
People who live in glass houses, Mrs. Clinton
Last night I had a dream that was so vivid, I thought it was real until I woke up. In my dream, there was a live-action Spice & Wolf series, only instead of being set in a faux medieval Europe, it was set in America in the mid 1960s, Horo was played by Molly Quinn, and she and Lawrence (I don’t remember who was playing him), were running around America in a beat up Studebaker trying to get ahold of silver quarters, dollars, and dimes before the U.S. mint took them out of circulation.
still don’t really understand how some people have trouble just being nice
Oh my gosh you’re such a good person. Hey everybody come look at how much of a good person this is.
i literally cannot comprehend how you got offended by this but thanks for proving my point anyway
I don’t mean to distract from OP’s post but my dash won’t let me see what the second image is, it’s just showing me this:
And I am losing my goddam mind.
You know what this reminds me of, only in reverse? …
wait. shit. oh god. I can’t unsee it…
Can someone put this one in on the reverse? with the ‘no fear –> Be Kind to each other –> one fear’?
The original comic was about Simpsons porn?
To answer OP, "nice" is, unfortunately, not a universal concept. What one person considers nice, another may find highly intrusive, or, alternately, far too standoffish. Just asking someone how they're doing can cause problems. Some people might feel inclined to give an honest answer, while the person asking merely expected a perfunctory "fine". Or, if could be the other way around. The person asking might be looking for an in depth answer, while the person answering may believe that any answer other than "fine" is burdening the other unduly with their own problems.
No two people have the same "nice", so you have to get to know someone else before you can be genuinely nice to them by their standards as opposed to your own.

Well, being a Green Lantern is all about willpower, and humans are very willful creatures.
Do the Brits know we don’t keep hot dogs in cans of brine
british people are so fucked up
Where tf do you keep it then?
They’re in an air tight plastic sleeve. There’s a tiny bit of brine in the package, but they don’t sit in the can and soak in it.
But the brine is the good bit. I like these hot dogs, they’re America’s sole contribution to food culture.
those damn british and their imperialism, they even bastardized our hotdogs…
This is unsettling to the nth degree
I’ve seen a version of this post before, where they also had a pizza with corn on it. Unholy is the cuisine of Britain.
Actually, they did anticipate that possibility. That’s why they left it to citizens to carry guns. In case we needed to clean house. And Senate.

Wait, I thought cat ears were forbidden.
Couldn’t you just pause it
Oh my sweet summer child…
We use to run screaming out the door to jump on the trampoline as much as possible before sprinting back indoors and slamming into the couch because the show was on but ads are BORING
Listen, children, in the time before the 2000s, you couldn’t pause or rewind television feeds. In the days before DVDs, you had to pause a VHS tape, and hope to God it wasn’t paused too long on one spot, or the quality would begin to degrade.
THE PEANUTS MOVIE MADE ME CRY
The Peanuts Movie made everyone with a soul cry.
I have to laugh when someone complains that’s always OK to make fun of women but never men when the exact opposite is true. Men get broadly painted as dumb pieces of shit all the time and everyone’s fine with it, but make fun of women even slightly and you’ll have every new wave feminist for miles and an army of Simps ready to murder you on the spot.
For decades, on t.v. shows and in cartoons and in comic strips and commercials, Dads have been portrayed as well-meaning idiots who couldn’t accomplish anything without Mom there to guide him.
Technically, at this point, weren’t they taking it to Imladris?
Whitmer's order exempts religious institutions and their owners from legal penalty for holding services, but it does not exempt individuals who attempt to participate in person from penalties, according to the suit.
Lots of people suing Whitmer. May her first term be her only term anywhere
Some people are really out there saying “the second ammendment isn’t there so you can intimidate elected officials” like……… yeah it is lol. Stop giving right wingers a monopoly on armed protest.
That's pretty much the ONLY reason it was added.
George Washington: So, how do we ensure the government we create doesn't oppress the people it should serve?
Thomas Jefferson: The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.
George Washington: huh?
Benjamin Franklin: Tom's saying citizens should be able to bust a few caps in elected asses.

There’s no such thing as “debt forgiveness” because all you’re doing is transferring the responsibility of that debt onto other people who never incurred it. If I incur a debt for $100,000 buying a fancy sports car that I can’t really afford, is it fair that I get to keep the car and transfer the responsibility for paying for the car onto you? You didn’t agree to buy a car you couldn’t afford and you also can’t use the car in question, but you’re stuck paying for it. Sound fair? Because that’s how debt forgiveness works.
Indeed, no one can explain how can debt be forgiven without making someone pay for it. Usually people with 0 benefits or responsability for that debt.
“Debt forgiveness” is college educated spoiled cunts making working class people who couldn’t afford to go to college pay for their shit. Or people who were smart and weren’t just making the bare minimum payments and actually paid of the debt, now they gotta pay twice.
You dont get to support that shit and claim to have any kind of morals. You legit believe you’re part of a privileged class that gets to exploit the others.
“Debt forgiveness” is backing out of an agreement you willingly and knowingly signed into and no longer want to pay for the services you already received.
It’s essentially theft of services all because you, personally, don’t want to pay due to a sense of entitlement.
And don’t use the tired argument of not being able to find a job that paid for the degree, because guess what? Finding a marketable degree was your responsibility, too.
