I've been thinking about Hopper as a character and people's different views of him? And I think it's like.
Hopper isn't perfect. He's legit an asshole like 99% of the time. He's not the best dad. He's not the best guy. In season one we get this view of him as this broken man who sleeps around and lost his daughter. A man who lies about his daughter. Says she's still alive. The woman he was in love with has moved on, she's married and has children, and he's stuck in Hawkins.
But with all his problems, with all the flaws we get to see, we also see this man who won't give up. He listens to Joyce, maybe not as first, but he does Everything in his power to make sure that Will is found. He's violent, yes, and he fucks up. But he does that to make sure a mother doesn't loose her child because he knows that feeling all too well.
And in season two and now three, we get to see Hopper and El. And yes you can view this as a not-so-great family. Hopper isn't magically a perfect person. He still fucks up, and now those mistakes can fall on El. But we see him trying. Season three really grounded my stance on the fact that Hopper is a fucking good dad. Yes one of the opening scenes is him saying he wants to Kill Mike. But that's such a realistic dad move. He wants to protect El. He's a single father, asking advice from Joyce because he doesn't know any better. And that end scene! His letter. Like he was trying his best, and he has his faults but all parents do.
He's just. He's grown in a lot of ways, and I really hope he's still alive. Not just because he's my favorite, not just because Jopper. But I really hope we can see him fully settle into being the father El deserves. He's still growing and it's so interesting to watch. And I also just love David Harbour and he does an amazing job with Hop.
Me after Veronica Mars season 4 finale
I just noticed that they had the nerve to call the last episode “Years, continents, bloodshed”………
Can you believe this was the final scene ever of #VeronicaMars? So beautiful 🥰😭😍❤
Jason Dohring as Logan Echolls in Veronica Mars season 4
Why does it seem like all the tv shows I like are in a contest to see who can screw over the audience the most?
I hate spoilers but when I see people so passionately say that Veronica Mars season 4 is bullshit I caved and looked it up and…
I have been going on and on about not being able to wait for a season 4 for that?
I don’t even want to watch at all anymore. Fuck this.
I’m dying for a happy ending somewhere, anywhere! I’m tired of unhappy endings all the fucking time, it’s draining my soul.
everyone after that finale:
I can not believe that it how Veronica Mars ended.
Season 4 does not exist.

The whole fandom of Stranger things: I ship Meleven omg. Like, so much. Look how cute they are!
Me: Yeah... *nervously hiding Hopper/Joyce fanfics behind the back*
