As a coach, trainer, mentor i love to work with, help, and empower people to be amazing. I love it. Most of the time, honestly my day to day is helping people drop fat and get into the best shape of their lives. However the best part of being a coach is helping and working with people who inspire me. Meet our clients Dan and Ollie they have a condition called Bardet-Biedl Syndrome. Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS) is an autosomal recessive multisystemic genetic disorder. It is characterised by 6 known factors... obesity, learning disability, renal anomalies, polydactyly, retinal degeneration and hypogenitalism. The mean age for individuals with this syndrome where the issues become a very serious problem is 15. The boys not long ago had their 16th Birthdays. By 15 years of age a large percentage of people with this syndrome are blind, obese, have kidney failure, mobility issues, diabetes among many other problems. Massive respect to Dan and Ollies parents who brought the boys to us when they were 11 years of age. Sally their mum did not want her children to become just another statistic, she took action and thought if she can not do anything about the other degenerative issues, she can at least do something about their weight. 5 years on the boys at their last pediatrician review were signed as healthy. Bucking the trend! Not blind Not obese Not in wheel chairs Not in kidney failure Do not have Diabetes These boys pretty much sum up what we at Absolute Training and Nutrition are about.
