roads that seemingly lead to nowhere
Scary yet a tempting path to take.
I believe that what little women taught me was the importance of family. I adore how close these young ladies are to one another. I respect Jo March for her courage in believing that marriage is not the route to a happy life and for sticking to her beliefs until the end. I don't consider the moment wherein she gets married to be a happy ending because the fact that she accepted what happened to her sister, Beth, and Laurie and Amy's engagement and resumes writing is already a perfect ending. After all, acceptance is a key component of life. Accepting what has done and deciding to continue to live life to the fullest despite what has gone wrong.
guys do you think that one of the things that brought amy and laurie together was their similar adolescent struggles with unrequited love? there's something about laurie's face when amy says to him, "not when i've spent my whole life loving you". he knows that feeling, he's spent his whole life loving jo.
Good point
