[ loved ] "Mr. Silver? It was brought to my attention that you have been unable to disembark from your vessel owing to the-- docking situation." The Dawn Weaver, as usual, had blocked the nearest docks to the town, and as others had gotten in first, Silver had only been able to dock down the end of the harbour where the worst and steepest steps lead to a long road up to the city proper. "This has made you unable to come and eat, so I have brought food to you."
MAKE MY CHARACTER FEEL LOVED.
@drakasvir
After weeks of the ship cook’s mediocre––at best––meals, Silver had been quite eager to make his way to the –––––––– for a blazing fire and a nice, warm, delicious meal…
Only to have such hopes dashed by the damned Dawn Weaver and every other ship that had––through no fault of their own––taken every other space even remotely near the town, leaving him to what was perhaps the absolute furthest place.
He had given leave to all but those who would remain for this shift to keep watch on the ship, an excuse he used to explain why he would not immediately leave that would not owe to his damnable leg making the traversing of those steps and that long road such a difficulty, if not an impossibility. Something that would not make him seem weak. Though, he suspects that his men knew the truth and simply respected their captain too much to call him on it.
Yet, just as he had resigned himself leftovers from the cook’s ill-prepared stew, here comes an Angel of Mercy to save him from his terrible and (probably) undeserved fate.
“Brought to your attention, was it?” he begins, one eyebrow raising in mild amusement. “Now I wonder who would have done that?”
And then he shrugs, seemingly unconcerned.
“Well, whoever it was, please pass my undying gratitude along to them. I was only moments from being forced to endure this again,” he adds with a wry look, turning upside down the bowl before him… only for everything to remain perfectly as it had been when right side up.
“Tell me, if it does this in the bowl, what might it do when eaten?”
MAKE MY CHARACTER FEEL LOVED.
all of this ANGST lately – while nice – it’s getting a bit OLD. I want your character to try their best and make mine feel super loved. give them ALL you’ve got. make them blush like crazy and CRY because they’ve never heard such beautiful things before. do it. I dare you.
❛ You look as though you need a drink. ❜

"I seem to think, good lady, that that is the constant state of pirates.”
“For how else could they go about their days, doing the unbelievably stupid things that they do, and not be in need of a drink to do them? Of course, that said," he continues with a slight smirk, now rarely-seen amusement in his blue eyes.
“––I’d certainly not decline a drink, were it offered.”
