Atrium Studios next Jelly meet up is on Thursday 28 January at 8.00am-9.30am.
Jelly meetups are a FREE international phenomenon which offers freelancers, home workers, artists and people who run their own small businesses the opportunity to meet up and work in a shared environment. Jelly is about meeting new people, working socially and collaborating. Working from home can be lonely Jelly aims to bring people together in a relaxed, informal, working environment to maximise creativity and minimise the isolation that being your own boss can bring. Jelly is not about pitching and selling it’s about a mixture of work, conversation, sharing ideas and passing on tips and help.
Atrium Studios aim to re enforce this concept by offering the opportunity to talk to someone with different skills that may be able to help solve a business problem or help develop an idea. This advice is FREE and will be offered in informal 10 minute chats to try and help. The following skills will be available at the Jelly between 8.00am–9.30am:
Social Media
WordPress
Animation
CMS / Software / Online Business Advice
Project Management
E Commerce
Marketing
Graphic Design
E-News
Exhibition Management
The Atrium is also delighted to welcome the New Anglian Growth Hub to the Jelly who will be available for general business advice
You are invited to join us just for between 8.00am–9.30am for breakfast or you can stay and work with us all day. Jellies are FREE so all you need to bring is your laptop and some work and we will provide a table, wifi, coffee and company within a creative environment.
Jelly is a casual work event where everyone's invited. It's for anyone who'd like to work alongside other creative people in a welcoming environment. Please feel free to pass this on to others you think maybe interested.
Carol Gant project Coordinator for the Atrium says,
‘Working from home can be lonely so we are opening our doors once a month to give people the opportunity to enjoy our creative shared space whilst working alongside others, and maybe find ways to collaborate with each other.’
Marcel Larose from, Smartalec Media says,
‘This is an ideal opportunity for an established small businesses or a start-up to get essential tips, advice or guidance whilst spending quality time with others in an informal setting.
Many business owners find it difficult to make informed decisions on aspects of their business such as IT, funding or marketing, as they do not know who to trust or simply cannot afford specialist advice, and in the worst case end up wasting time and money.
I have learnt from making a few mistakes in business over the past 12 years .. but you don't have to!’
