The Blue Man Group performed for two days and had three performances at the University of Texas Bass Concert Hall on October 28-29, 2022. https://www.atxdigitalphotography.com/blog/2022/10/blue-man-group-in-austin-texas-2022 The nearly 90-minute performance started with the Blue Man Group playing drums and slowly pouring liquid paint into the porous top of the drums. The more paint they poured into the drums, the more paint splashed on their black uniforms, the floor, and the front row of the audience. The audience in the front row wore plastic covers to help keep the paint off of them. The show was entertaining and crowd-friendly especially when two of the Blue Man Group came off stage to look for two people to bring on stage. They climbed over the chairs and people and walked down the aisles from front to back to find the two people. After careful consideration on the way to the front, they selected a male on the right of the room and a female on the left to come on stage. The Blue Group had powerful hand spotlights on stage and shined the spotlights on a few people coming into the show late. So don’t be late for the Blue Man Group show. At the end of the show, the Blue Man Group, a two-man band, and five people that helped move equipment on and off the stage came to the front of the stage together to the applause of the audience. The Blue Man Group is known for signature drumming (The Big Drum), colorful moments of creativity, and unconventional comedy. The performance also includes pulsing, custom-made instruments (The Drumbone), original music, and surprise audience interactions. The Blue Man Group started more than 30 years ago (1991) in New York City as a roving street act before becoming an off-Broadway hit. Then the popular act featuring three mute performers wearing blue grease paint and black clothing started touring the nation that included domestic residencies in Boston, Chicago, and Las Vegas. More than 35 million people around the world have experienced Blue Man Group. © 2022 Michael Lewis Global Photography, All Rights Reserved (at Bass Concert Hall) https://www.instagram.com/p/CkFJPH2NrPt/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
