I think people underestimate what Frodo was going through when he had to carry the ring to Mordor. Sam is a legend, but Frodo is also a hero. Everyday for six months the guy would wake up and have a Bluetooth wireless connection to Satan himself. He only crumbled in the last moment, Tolkien has said anyone would have fallen for the ring, let alone someone who had been carrying it for so long.

Sam and Frodo are both hero's as they are a two package deal, if one succeeds, the other does too.

I know I've said it before but every rewatch I do cements this thought further - elijah wood's performance in LOTR is absolutely insane, they really had a character whose name means "wise by experience", hired an 18-year-old to do it, and he delivered so much that not only is it a beautiful and moving role on its own, it's a performance equal to those of the absolute powerhouses he played side by side with like ian holm and ian mckellen. to name just a few

Hi anon! I think I mentioned it before on my Norse Mythology post, but I was really excited for this request because I studied mythology (Roman, Egyptian, Greek and Norse) through college. Greek mythology was my biggest interest and I was a total Percy Jackson kid growing up. A few of these are thicker than the others For quality, the ones that symbolize each god/goddess just needed to be a little bit larger, and Medusa deserved some extra detail too. I hope you like them! 🩵🌸

Tom Hiddleston appreciation post

A lot of people only think of Marvel's Loki when they hear the name Tom Hiddleston. And it's no wonder, as he has played Loki in several films and as the lead in a series.

But there is more to this trained actor. For instance, he can play Shakespeare and has learned to speak Shakespeare lines in a very natural way (some plays he did so far are Henry IV and Henry V in The Hollow Crown, Cymbeline, Othello, Coriolanus and Hamlet, as well as Much Ado About Nothing in 2025).

He has done historical drama (e.g. The Gathering Storm, War Horse, The Deep Blue Sea, The Essex Serpent), a biopic (I Saw The Light, about Hank Williams) and a gothic romance (Crimson Peak), a Thriller series (The Night Manager), crime mystery (Wallander) and more. He has also done some voice work, e.g. for audiobooks. It seems that he doesn't let himself being type-cast again and again for similar roles and I am looking forward to what is next.
