seven which has themes of childhood and cardigan which talks about peter pan and wendy makes me feel like this is about wanting to escape growing up but then ultimately realizing you have to... seven has this nostalgic feeling about her childhood and feeling like she grew up too fast (which is understandable considering she was put in the spotlight at such a young age). there’s a sense of loss throughout the album, and in some lines you wonder if the loss she’s really talking about is her youth and girlhood where she was more free

#its the trauma of girlhood :(#where girls are born with such a beautiful sense of freedom but beaten down by growing up :(

i feel like this chapter is almost a ‘what could’ve been’ chapter. what would life have been like for us if we explored the relationships we were deeply affected by in our childhoods? what would life be like if you still had someone in your life who isn’t here anymore? who would you be if you were allowed to not grow up too fast? how long will it be until the facade fades away? thoughts that fuel the what ifs in ur mind and allow you to escape to a place where things were different

does anyone remember this super popular blog getting mad at ppl because they were talking abt andrea and scott swift being divorced saying ‘taylor doesn’t like ppl talking about it and this is why i sometimes hate new fans’ as if she personally knew taylor AND as if taylor didn’t mention it in her debut album like 5 times 😭

#ppl werent even rlly talking abt it they had just discovered it for the first time #and she was like going OFF abt it and saying how ‘taylor kept it private for a reason’ as if its not on wikipedia 😭#like talk abt a superiority complex #idek who the blog was but i remember this ‘drama’
